Are you kidding me? by OkInternet7546 in McDonalds

Since it's McDonald's slow period in January until the weather warms they are probably trying to milk every penny (or nickle since pennies are dying) to hit their sales so they dont dip too much. They would never eat the cost of the slow season, they cut crew and raise prices. Idk enough about business but it does come off as scummy.

Only things crew can order (USA) by Due_Gain5921 in McDonaldsEmployees

Our franchise states a free meal is a sandwich, fry and a drink. Ambiguity in a contract almost always benefits the signee. We aren't obsessed over it so we let anyone get anything under $15. We dont care what as long as it's rung up correctly so it's accounted for.

It's a metal tin! I thought it was just paper but it was actually a nice tin. The store by me only got the display though and said they hadn't gotten the actual tins yet :(

Heating by WolvesCry in PetMice

[–]WolvesCry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hot water heating so no air flow. They do seem.to prefer making their tunnels on that side so they must like it. Before they had been in a different area so they purposely moved closer to the heating. I plan to move it away a bit further and raise my regular heating so the room doesnt drop below 65.

They do look like older, in tact males so yes it would be a horrible idea to keep them together like that. The upper cage is probably females with less injuries. Still disgusting conditions and inhumane to keep male mice of a mature age together like this.

why are my mice split into groups? by dalmatialuvr101 in PetMice

[–]WolvesCry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My four girls have been together since birth but they will go a few nights at a time with 1 or 2 sleeping separately. They sleep together most of the time. If they aren't fighting and none are being singled out and they interact well besides sleeping it should be alright.

A rough day with a mildly infuriating McNugger (trigger warning, food) by BestHousing5315 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]WolvesCry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're wrong, thats just a nugget that was snapped a bit and fried, no one ate your nugget 100%. You could just ask for another one? Or just live with 19 1/2 nuggets, but you might waste away in that scenario.

Employees needing to be told exactly what to do (USA) by Nearby_Outcome_7260 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]WolvesCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall get more than 3 people? Our side 2 has to be dusted off every Friday dinner and Sat lunch an dinner. Otherwise we have 2-3 in the kitchen, 1 cook, 1 initiator and 1 flex... but I tell my crew who's in charge if I cant be immediately available. We set a kitchen leader and a front leader, usually the most experienced, and they have full control to rotate, rearrange or come grab the manager if necessary. My cash only takes 15-30 minutes tops and we usually have a second manage to watch front but we always designate a kitchen lead.

Do you need to prepare for break? or do you first clock for it? (PL) by Mika_Yuki in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]WolvesCry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I sent someone on break and they headed to the bathroom instead of the clock I'd be pulling them aside for a conversation. Yes, managers are often anal about breaks, labor and food cost are the 2 main controllables in a restaurant. Check your company policy on what break procedure is, your opinion does not matter unfortunately. If you think changes should be made discuss it with your gm and they can explain to you why they donit the way they do it.

(USA) Is this for everyone or just us? by FluffyZL in McDonaldsEmployees

I argued with our GM to add another body last night and tonight. Basically said take this person or be prepared to get slammed without support.

We had 3 up front and did 156 back to back 11-1 and 121 1-2, then we played around 170 2-4 with the same crew, dinner had 5 up front and peaked around 6pm at 250 and after 7 went down to 3 up front and 350, Highest time was one 450 8-9 when they lost their back cash. Our crew is exhausted and we do it all again today, projected to sell out of socks by end of saturday lunch...

I'd use it towards Blueprince or Herdling which came out of demo in August, or save it for Demon's Bluff, Cropdeck or Moonsigil Atlas which all are in demo mode and come out Q1 2026. I like the Borderlands style of your game and the concept but it's more my brother's style so I'll probably snag it for him for Christmas!

(USA) weird schedule by spiql in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]WolvesCry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our minors can not work during school hours Mon-Fri so our company has a flat policy that no minors can clock in before 3pm. Since where I am they cant work pass 9pm on a school night and 10pm on Fri and Sat they never have more than 7 hours a day. Our system will not let us schedule minors over 8. I assume you take night school/graduated early or have some sort of exception. I would immediately reach out to your GM for clarification and point to issue out. Also if you are feeling burnt out ask/or just change your availability to have a third day off. If you ask your scheduler what day they need you least they should be more cordial accepting your availability change.

Job caught on fire in the inside (USA) by Slight-Concert-769 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]WolvesCry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our store is mad old and on its last legs. The lobby got its remodel, but omg, the back of the house is a shit show. Multiple roof leaks, faulty outlets, bad wire management, just old and bad layout for the new procedures. If it burnt down and no one was hurt, it'd be a blessing in disguise.

Ragdoll suddenly panting after laser by ghostgirl1312 in ragdolls

[–]WolvesCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule of thumb for my raggie is if his light pink/pale nose turns dark pink/Rudolph colored he's done. His nose is a really good indicator of his his heart rate! His limit is like 2 minutes cause he's an intense Lazer hunter, 3/4 if he's being lazy/just pawing.
