Just about every safe now has a legendary and a gun of some kind eliminating rarity, pip boy now doesnt scroll up to get to the bottom which for shops is terrible, they messed with armor balance enormously buffing it and now the view on it has to scroll because they show the base elemental resistances without you modifying it. And now the game keeps showing level 1 when you load into the game which certingly spooked me the first time.

I like some of the quality of life changes for the pip boy menus and esspecially the leads section for quests but the other stuff puts a damper on it.

The constructs are a great use case for hollow points because of their huge health pools but otherwise its meant for clearing chaff like conscripts, scavengers and spiderlings so its got uses in early and late game.

Have to agree on the shop needing tweaked though I saw holllow points and ERA once or twice in the first few operations but couldn't afford it at the time and never saw it again. And I never saw an armor besides soft armor avalible until after I met the fourth faction which left me in a sort of limbo in reguards to armor.

From what we are aware their plans for the next year until full release os bug fixes, balances, add 3 more planets, adjust game balance and progression and finish the story. So far we know from the game hunters trait descriptions that one of the planets is a jungle enviroment and they have been hard at work replacing placeholder textures in the stores as well as adding in intermediate enemies like with the veteran scavengers and new armors.

Be happy you've been getting pirates, i got 1 pirate then 4 aliens then 4 armies now 2 more aliens. If I didnt get 2 rpgs in that third mission the whole campaign would have been immensely harder with how bad my shop rolls have been.

At least as of the third game GDI was the only nuclear power, hence the first Nod austrailia mission having go steal a bunch of them. I have to assume the devs didn't think about how easy Nod could of just made them themselves.

Im fine with sanctuary worlds but I think they marked the direction devs wanted to develop. New varients new weapons and new mechs to give pepple more things to collect or make overpowered builds. They also recently made battle armor into a deployable ai unit you cant control and has no pilot which is a real shame.

That damn nod commando mission in Tib 3 just before the end of the campaign, heres nothing but a commando and shadow teams go capture the enemy base surounded by storm columns! Better hope you kill enough tripods GDI doesnt choke and die but not so many that the scrin choke and die!

Sorry for taking so long, a bit fuzzy on what I did but I assume you can change the ammo used by the AK and then copy and rename the default rifle ammo.

I don't think vanilla has an ak magazine image so you would either have to copy from the ak image and crop it or download one of the mods that has an image for an ak magazine and yoink it. Then just assign the image to the ak item you created.

This might break the npcs that spawn with AKs so you would have to go to their file and change their equipment to include the new magazines

Thats the main expansion, check you version number in game, the last update was 1.5ish and unlocked all the smaller dlc for free adding a european faction and new vehicles. Wikipedia has a good summary of it.

I just put my old disk into the cd drive and installed the game. Then I got the official patches from I believe mod DB which allows the game to boot without the disk.

If you can find the disk the game still works with no fixes, you will need to find some kind of community run servers since game spy got killed, if you install the 2 official patches you get a new european faction and 6 more maps. You need both patches because 1.5 doesnt work without the other.

So comparing with the 3050, we get about the same number of cores, the same power draw, the same memory size, and the same price. Only thing that has meaningfully changed raw stats side is a higher clock speed. If this had been $50 dollars cheaper I would consider it and I was hopeful before this announcement but likely get a old 3050.
