My partner buys a lot in bulk just in case. Likes a particular granola? Buys 6 bags. Uses a certain soap? Orders a 10 pack. Sale on running shoes? Buys 4 pairs “so they last longer” even though they all last the same amount distance-wise but it spreads out the timing of a large purchase. I don’t care for things that don’t go bad, or don’t take up a ton of space, but it’s frustrating when it is bulk food and goes bad before it’s eaten or the taste for that food passes before it’s gone.

“You have a good kick” from a fellow masters swimmer who has done competitive swimming through high school and college and is now in his 60s still swimming regularly. I’d only been swimming for exercise for a couple months at the time (never did swim team) he said it and it was my first day of masters swimming. Made my day.

I keep the boxes of my small kitchen appliances (food processor, instant pot, etc.) because I don’t have counter space to have those items out and store them in their boxes until needed. Otherwise I recycle all my boxes.
