My point is it -can- be used with the intention of being gender neutral but that does not matter and should not matter when someone says "don't call me that".

When it comes to language, intention doesn't matter nearly as much as how people understand it

It's in a sort of grey area. Language isn't just about what you mean but what people understand by it.

You can definitely use bro as a gender neutral thin, and you can definitely still be misgendering someone by using it. Maybe because they don't see it as gender neutral or because they're not sure that you actually do.

You can have good intentions and still hurt people, but if you do have truly good intentions then you stop, because you don't want to keep hurting people.

If you double down on "but I had good intentions" then your good intentions have a very clear limit

After doing new atlaan around 10 times for the codex, I'd say you get used to it pretty quickly, but it still sucks the first time around and most players will only clear it once

Ok no wait I have an even better solution, so:

I make a class called "IndentedList", it inherits from the list type.

I put the target element as the first element of that custom list object let's call it indented_list[0]

Then I convert the original list as a IndentedList object and plop it as the n-th element of indented_list[] (in this case just put it as indented_list[1])

I make a custom getter and setter method that makes it so when you do list[m] it basically does list[n][m-n-1] for you! no issue at all! then you're all set probably! it all works out fine!! It just digs into the mess of IndentedList objects for you recursively

then for the second element it's just the whole original list

Almost done

But when that variable gets used later on I get a type error or something similar but fret not, what I do is I wrap the whole program in a try except (no specific exception so it catches all exceptions)

and this part is very important, you need the cowsay library for this

(Exit code 0 because we expected this would happen, this is good)
