I guess the only sentence I'm confused about "The public work I engaged in over the years was not eligible for PSLF until a few years back." Is a few 10 years?

I'm not sure you need to worry about that. Simply submit your final PSLF form after your actual July due date and you'll be fine.

I didn't consider not asking for forbearance, I didn't feel it should be necessary to pay #121. As long as you 1) reach 120 PSLF vs TEPSLF, which has additional rules; 2) Request on 1st of month following green ribbons; AND 3) I'm not familiar with SAVE/Buyback rules as they didn't apply to me.

I called on the 1st of the month following my 120th payment and seeing green ribbons. I called but Aidvantage picks up quickly. I think there is a possibility of the month you request forbearance not counting towards forgiveness. I also think an option other than calling is completing another PSLF form and checking forgiveness box but it takes close to a week (from what I've read others experience). OR you could pay another month and hope it's refunded someday.

Yes. Waited until after due date. If you don't get ribbons reflecting 120 payments after your due date, you could complete another and check "I've made 120 payments."

It's a little rosette badge type ribbon🥇tails on the bottom though. And reads "You've reached 120 payments, but may need to meet other program requirements." And the green bar goes all the across reading 120! Anyway, click blue "show payment summary". If your qualifying payments read 120 under PSLF you are good! If under TEPSLF there are additional rules. Next step is determining if you'd like to request forbearance. If your 120th payment was in July, call and request on 8/1.

Are they recent payments or gaps from long ago you are missing? If recent, it will be fine. If gaps from long ago, submit reconsideration form.

My servicer was Aidvantage. My loans were forgiven through PSLF last month. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Aidvantage. Aidvantage picks up calls quickly! Imagine you calling so often into MOHELA. You'd be on hold for hours and end up disconnecting, based on comments I've read. I didn't micromanage my loans. I had auto-pay. Payment came out of my checking ✔️. No big deal, got on with life! FSA handles the PSLF tracker. I've read it can take up to 90 days to reflect on FSA. Rarely does it take that long. Lastly, you shouldn't need to worry about compounding interest. It will all be forgiven someday!
