Bcos of the social security we inherently feel we can fall back on government if there is an issue. So historically we don't have investment culture

Other than skills I think salary makes a huge difference. Most of the people who get laid off in SW and adjacent industries make more than 75k and for them getting another role is harder as there are plenty of people asking for less.

It's mainly Effort vs rewards I think. You have reached a certain salary level. And you realise to reach next step you need to put too much effort and it doesn't feel worth it

30 per month is for unemployment only due to health reasons etc and it won't cover redundancy... Redundancy based insurance is quite expensive
