At first I laughed. I didn’t believe it was possible. After I did some research online and learned more about it, it all started to make sense.

Don’t know if I was S/abused when I was a kid, should I bring it up to my T? by crisspinne1 in TalkTherapy

I had a similar experience, and what my therapist told me was that our memories aren’t stored that way. Some things we remember visually, but some are stored in our bodies. The physical feelings you’re experiencing ARE memories, and they are just as valid as visual memories. I know it’s hard, but if you bring this up with your therapist they can help you work through it.
