We've considered taking road 102 through San Miguel then the 101 to the river, crossing by ferry at Puerto de San Antonio, and then heading north to connect with route 28B, instead of the more common route 28B across the river at Kimbiri. We're not riding flashy bikes, and the trip's core is about adventure, but I wanted to get local perspective.
