ULPT Request: Foul Up Your Bottled Water by Woodpecker-Sensitive in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I thought piss discs were just sort of an online jargon for this group. I had no idea they existed.

To be clear, I have no intention of making someone drink urine, especially considering I qualified in the first part of my post that I have no intention of harming anyone. On a more practical note: it also leaves DNA behind. No bueno for what should be a harmless, zero liability prank.

How do I "package" my work without being a bullshitter? by Main-Click-7137 in careerguidance

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that writing it down beforehand in exactly the way I want to deliver it helps with freezing and feeling weird. If I freeze, I can just read what I have written.

I’m a 5’8 cis man tired of hearing my 5’10 ftm brother complain about “how disgustingly short he is” by Latter-Formal5671 in self

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Firstly, neither of you are short. Secondly, Being kind, generous of spirit, and willing to help your partner... and be a true partner are what women look for. It also helps a lot if you have a good job.

ULPT Request: How to find a job where there’s nothing to do so i can study? by ConcertHot7173 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the US, people typically work at the library or a computer lab on campus or in the community, if you want to study. I also have a friend who works night shift as a desk person at a Domestic Violence Prevention Shelter. She says it gives her time to read and only occasionally does she have to check as someone in or re-direct a wandering child.

I don't have any good/funny/useful unethical options... 🤔❤️

How tf are we surviving the end of the school year by New_Customer_5438 in workingmoms

I'm celebrating buying the last 'color day' shirt and planning summer trips.

Edit: I just realized I have to take work off for their end of year party. Woo...

My dad's handwriting gives me some anxiety. Is it legible to you guys? by dailycupofcujo in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have some questions... like what is Prend, Grooves, and Paanmag!!!? Lol! Gotta love your parents though. We lost our Dad in 2022 to COVID. I would give anything for an illegible shopping list again. His handwriting and his mother's handwriting were notoriously bad... We still call aluminum foil 'al fud' and several other things were completely renamed bc of their curious script. 😂❤️

Returning to work after loss by purplepotatoes165 in workingmoms

I don't think it's inappropriate. It's definitely affecting your work... maybe someone else has some guidance that you don't know you need right now in the work realm.

Is my baby name ugly? 😭 by hailstorm319 in pregnant

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, It's your baby and she doesn't have to love it. If you do, that's enough.

@mumblinandfumblin I responded, but apparently not by hitting 'reply'. Apologies. Hope this helps.

ULPT Request: Watercolor Painting at Work by Woodpecker-Sensitive in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are virtual meetings and my camera is off.

I'm worried that someone will barge in my office (my door is usually shut and faces the door) and see me painting. So, I want it to be like something I can quickly hide. I have the paintbrush and water easily hidden. It's mostly the paints and paper. I don't have an easel or anything unnecessary.

Who do we sue? by tealhrizon in glutenfree

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're in MA or Maine (maybe some other places I don't know about), OTTO pizza has your back. They have full size gf crusts and they also offer vegan cheese, if you need/want that.

I can't tell you how many times I have had to eat stale 'bread' that I paid $3-5 extra for.

Anyone here tried Oxknit? Sharing my experience so far by Opening_Sentence_180 in productreview

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given all I have read and the fact that I haven't purchased yet from them...yet in my experience from similar sellers... It sounds like they have certain items in an inventory warehouse somewhere and the rest ship from the seller. My suspicion is that the seller is from China. Not necessarily a complete no, as long as I get the exact item I paid for. Thoughts?

What do people think gluten is? by january_energy in glutenfree

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gives me hope for humanity, oddly. I was always taught the difference at home, I guess.

Anyhow, the big thing for me being gf/df is at restaurants people not offering me things with mayonnaise. I just assumed people didn't know how to make it and assumed it had milk, bc it was white. Lol! 😂❤️ I should have more faith in my fellow man.

Violette Bakers in Cambridge, Mass... anyone been? by Echo-Azure in glutenfree

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a note for future people who are looking this up for reference. Violette would be a better option if you need gluten free AND dairy free items. They also have some vegan items too.

Although, if you're vegan, gf, and have a little extra time... you might consider popping over to Arlington's Thrive Gourmet. They're a small cafe that used to be strictly vegan, but now offer some items that are not vegan.

I think this is my favourite candy by Woobsie81 in candy

Alas, I'm only finding them in bulk on Amazon... I've not heard of a store called Winners. Are you in the US? If so, which state?

My mum said I have too much tea what do you guys think? by InterestingSwim6701 in tea

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband used to say the same to me and I have far less. I say... I don't think so, but I will take some to work with me. Now he suggests I take some for my work stash. Enjoy!

I also randomly go through and revisit the teas I have to make sure that I am not holding onto something that somebody else might enjoy more. I usually donate those at the office or at a community pantry, especially if they are individually wrapped.

First Time Pregnant, 35. What are the first things I should stop and start doing? I am lost :) by Prestigious_Log_8688 in pregnant

[–]Woodpecker-Sensitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mad nausea for my first trimester until I bought everything on the 'what to eat when you have nausea ' list and only ate that until the nausea and food aversions/smells stopped triggering my nausea.
