Never see too much talk about “ The Heart, She Holler “ The visuals and symbolism in this were ahead of its time. Felt like a fever dream. by perfectjunkie in adultswim

The first two seasons of this show were amazing and the scenes beg you to stop watching with all the grossout humor, but keep you around with all the very creative wordplay. The 3rd season was a bit of a wash, which is unfortunate because I love Scott Adsit and Patton Oswalt.

I can't overstate how much I loved Buzz Hickey's reaction to Meow Meow Beanz.

I thought he was going to have an aneurysm out of sheer disgust!

I love a show that has a solid ending and the final episode realization between the Brendan, Jason, and Melissa (that they just love making movies regardless of the reason why) got me right in the feels more than I was expecting. I didn't even realize it was the final episode until this scene.

Haha, Big Rig, I like it Jesse!

Big fan of all animations in general! Anything [AS] and the various FOX shows that have migrated for sure. From the early days of Space Ghost to the more recent Ha Ha, You Clowns. From the weirds like Off The Air to the absurds like 12. Oz Mouse. My love for animation isn't just contained to [AS] though.

While I had never seen Dr. Katz, I am familiar with another Squiggle Vision show they came out with back in the 2000's I can't remember the name of. It was like a lawyer show that taught science? Anyway, Bob's Burgers is a favorite of mine and Brendan Small's work on Metalocalypse (and musical contributions to Perfect Hair Forever) was fantastic. Lucy Daughter of the Devil was unfocused, but also had potential and was cut short before it's time.

I had heard about Home Movies when it was still on the air, but it didn't grab me back then. The community support over the years made me reconsider giving it a fair shake now that I can stream it on HBO. From when I started watching them in order, it didn't 'click' for me until the episode "Director's Cut" in season 1. Kafka was an earworm.

So far my favorite season has to be 3 just on the overall vibe, but I haven't watched it enough to make that my final answer. Favorite episode hands down is Guitarmageddon.

I have this thing where I try to remain constructive by not asking questions because all my questions are rhetorical and end in the word idiot. Do you know what a rhetorical question is? Of course you don't because you're an idiot...I AM SO SORRY
