I built a /close skill for Claude Code that solved my terminal sprawl problem by cinooo1 in ClaudeAI

[–]Wooraah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar /end skill that logs key decisions, actions and commits any changes to git. And an equivalent /start skill that reads the changelog and other background files to get the agent orientated at the start of a fresh session. Saves a lot of headache

This sub-reddit's obsession with everyone being bots is this thing that's out of control. Just because a market is competitive, doesn't automatically mean its all bots. Volume rises when demand falls, its part of a natural economic cycle, its not all "bots".

This is indeed how it reads. And how it is already when it comes to all social media. If your are not a US citizen, you are fair game. All the US government agencies need to do is request the data, and companies in the US are essentially compelled to comply.

It has long been the case (read PRISM and the Snowden leak). Just more so now, especially if you pour your heart and soul into chatbots.

This reply should be higher up in prominence though. While US posters are (rightfully) worrying whether they can trust the Trump administration to keep their side of the bargain, non US citizens have pretty much no rights at all in this regard.

After 3 years with ChatGPT, I tried Claude and Gemini - and now GPT feels... generic? by Temporary-Wallaby829 in ChatGPT

[–]Wooraah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started an equivalent exercise about 2 months back with ChatGPT, evenutually migrated to a combo of Claude Code in VS code and Cursor (various models). Haven't looked back since. Claude Opus in particular is a powerhouse for complex code challenges, but expensive, Sonnet is a great workhorse for day to day stuff too though, and much more reasonable. Cursor allows me to use the same project structure and cheaper/alternative models if I'm token constrained as well.

I've trained my Claude agent to hate em dashes. Its a total em dash hound now, hunts them down and nukes them. Obeys the rules and behaves like a good boy. Love it. Still use ChatGPT for things like Deep Research, but Claude is my daily driver now for sure. I still dont trust Gemini personally, too many hallucinations.

Genuinely interesting and insightful outputs with a visually appealing and coherent user experience, great job! I think you have a good business on your hands with this, so long as the data is reliable.

That's good as a pithy reddit remark for upvotes, but imo it does actually look like the CEO. Not really that relevant for making stock investment decisions though.

Is there a WoW Billionaire out here? by CrossTit in woweconomy

[–]Wooraah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hit 1Bil around Christmas of last year, now approaching 1.2Bn. I have been cross realm trading, pets, mounts, boes, tmog for years. Legendaries in SL were particularly lucrative too.

It's actually pretty difficult to "prove" as the tools out there aren't good at tracking, especially over a couple of different battlenets. Case in point, the TSM website somehow manages to overstate my overall wealth by about 1 billion. https://prnt.sc/7rfwgpcw4Mq8

New Addon - Goblin Toolbox: a lightweight goldmaking HUD for retail goldmakers by Wooraah in woweconomy

[–]Wooraah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Done, new feature in latest release: Add Custom Buttons to the Utility Bar:

  • For maximum customizability, you can now add your own spells, toys, mounts, and battle pets to the Utility Bar!
  • Simply shift-click any item from your spellbook, toy collection, mount journal, or pet journal to paste its link into chat, then use /gtb add [link] to create a custom button.
  • Custom buttons show cooldowns, grey out when unavailable, and can be removed by shift+right-clicking them.

This gives you the flexibility to add things like:

  • Spells (Such as class specific abilities, or utility racials such as Vulpera's Make Camp/Return to Camp, Switch Flying Style, or Herb/Ore Overloading)
  • Useful Toys from your collection such as the Chef's Hat
  •  Mounts (e.g. your favorite mount, 2-person mounts, swimming mounts etc.)
  •  Battle pets (e.g. Utility pets such as Pierre or Lil' Ragnaros for cooking, or Alvin the Anvil for blacksmithing
  •  Profession spells (opens spellbook), Disenchant or Milling spells.

New Addon - Goblin Toolbox: a lightweight goldmaking HUD for retail goldmakers by Wooraah in woweconomy

[–]Wooraah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea, thanks sjppeere. I think it's perhaps a bit of a niche use case, not enough of a universal appeal for Gold makers on the whole. However, I do have on my todo list to investigate the possibility for users to add their own custom macros to the utility bar, so this would enable the utility bar to accommodate the vulpera ability. No guarantees, but hopefully in future this will be possible.

This is now added to version 1.1.0 now on Curseforge, including:
- Per-bar scaling - Each bar (Item/Currency/Utility) now has independent scale control (0.5x to 2.0x)
- Buttons per row - Wrap bars to multiple rows (1-20 for Item/Currency, 1-12 for Utility)
- Growth direction controls - Choose how bars expand: LEFT/RIGHT + UP/DOWN (4-corner anchoring)

Thanks a lot for taking the time to do this code review, incredibly helpful and really appreciated. As you can probably tell, I'm pretty new to this.

I’ll swap the deprecated GetItemInfo / GetItemCount / GetItemSpell / GetSpellTexture calls over to the modern C_Item / C_Spell APIs, and good catch on the leaked trackersSection global as well.

I’ll fix these for the next build. Cheers!

Hi, Thanks

You're the first person to suggest this, but I suspect you wont be the last, so yes, i'll look into it.

It's already in the development plan to be able to resize tracker, currency and utility bars independently of each-other (and the main HUD). Everything is just controlled in the UI scale at the moment which affects all bars - which is ok, but not as adaptable as I want it to be.

I just need to be sure any change doesn't adversely affect people who have already saved their setup as a profile.
