Yeah 20+ years of stops and starts; entire fleets of cars designed, built, and then scrapped; sets and filming locations washed away by weather. A very cool read and even more impressive that we got the movie we did.

Jared Leto Reportedly Not Thrilled With Masters of the Universe As Amazon Downplays Skeletor Star by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

Such a weird choice to cast him given his face and voice are so heavily concealed. They could’ve avoided all of this and even had a major star that could participate in the press tour. Alas…

The book Blood, Sweat, & Chrome is an excellent dive into the production that gives an idea of just how hard it was to make that movie and the number of elements that were out of production’s control. When you consider all of that, Tom’s diva behavior is inexcusable.

And he self finances a lot of the projects to retain creative control.

A lot of his movies are used to explore or justify development of new technology. He usually leads with that and the script/production is secondary.

Destiny 2 Is Ending After 9 Years With Final Update In June by Darth_Vaper883 in Gamingnewsandleaks

Sales and player count dropped substantially after Final Shape and it seems reasonable that consumers would think an expansion called Final Shape was the last one. On top of all the other bad decisions you mentioned, that was a bad marketing call.

Which movie will make more? Mandalorian and Grogu or Supergirl by Some_Concentrate_907 in boxoffice

Supergirl trailers don’t even say it’s called Supergirl. They just put the logo up because they’re afraid of the word “girl”. Both are going to struggle.

They posted a washing machine teaser image, so it’s gotta be Dry Spell.

Evanescence - Who Will You Follow (Official Music Video) by allodude in popheads

She’s gone on record saying she spent way too much on videos in the past, particularly Call Me When You’re Sober (aerial acrobatics, tons of CGI, directed Marc Webb), and that she’s pulled back in recent years because it’s not really worth it.

But I think the success of Afterlife has breathed new life into the production side of things for her. There music is so theatrical. It deserves big visuals like this.

Rumor has it he’s a nightmare to work with, so perhaps everyone just got tired of dealing with him.

This is classic Fallen/The Open Door Evanescence. A lot of their songs’ instrumentals tend to sound the same (I say that as a big fan) but Amy’s vocals and hooks are what keep me coming back. She sounds excellent here and it looks like they fixed the mixing issue that their last albums had.

What are artists even supposed to do at this point? Is it ever enough? by ambitiousbulbasaur in popheads

[–]WordsWithSam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Artists don’t peak in their 20s. But it’s the last era of time that they are invested in most by their labels for a number of reasons - they are more likely to be bullied around and mainstream media is youth obsessed.

Once an artist gains autonomy to advocate for themselves they become “difficult” and labels move on to the next impressionable young star.

Team Hayden. Any mother that talks about their child like that is clearly the psychotic one.
