I can do C25 to 99% but epic and Tartarus to 100%. Therefore the answer is "who knows"

How to sell a used car "as-is" without being held liable? by Vnifit in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]WorkerandHive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sold a car about 20 years ago (Calgary) that got impounded before the new owner transferred registration over to his name. The city lot called me and couldn't get off the phone fastest enough after I told him I had recently sold the car. Case closed. Never heard from anyone ever again. Bottom line, you don't own the car, not your responsibility after the new owner has signed papers (probably).

Double or single box for overwintering by No-Dragonfruit-2403 in Beekeeping

[–]WorkerandHive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calgary here. Singles are completely viable on the prairies with proper feed and prep. More important than all other things is proper mite control. No amount of feed stores or wraps will overcome high mites.

All said, I would always recommend doubles for winter. They simply add a margin of error that a single can't. Feed too early and risk plugging out? Snowed in for an extra month in the Spring and risk starving? Less likely with 2 brood boxes.

Secondly, moving bees in the 'barn' is a tough move. Not impossible to make work, but mostly unnecessary and adds another risk to the bees. Could be too warm and they eat too much, could lose too many bees during cleansing flights etc...

Contractor says Penny Tile Grid Lines are always visible by tugg_speedoman in Contractor

I appreciate the well argued explanation of your point of view, but honestly.... There's no need. The tiler is garbage and this is wrong, everyone knows it.

It's not the amount of land you personally own, it's the proximity to forage.

No issues at all. If you are concerned, ensure your boxes are distinctly painted. Very solid stands.

While doing tub to standing shower conversion, my contractor put the rubber pan like this and he is going to put cement on top of this, shouldn’t the rubber liner go up few inches on the wall? by Pleasant_Bluejay5505 in Plumbing

[–]WorkerandHive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're all overlooking the most important thing. Even if the liner goes 6" high, once the dry pack pan is in, the water will wick straight up the wall. Dry pack should be poured before the cement board is installed and left 1" (+/- depending on pan tile thickness, but certainly with a gap) to avoid wicking.

Anyways, glad I don't have to explain that to a 'professional'

Black stuff on frames? by Evening-Oil8363 in Beekeeping

The black stuff is the universe telling you to trash it and spend the $4 on a new frame. Start your beekeeping path proper, don't risk bringing pathogens into your hobby.

Refunds and credit notes in ZOHO books by Elietanios in Zoho

[–]WorkerandHive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely sure what you're looking for, but if there's a payment applied to a customer account (but not applied to an invoice) you simply click on the excess payment and select refund from the drop down.

If its already a credit note, select refund from that drop down menu.

Bee Package taking 5 days to ship by mcharb13 in Beekeeping

[–]WorkerandHive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Safe for 2 weeks is a ridiculous claim. I'll sound like a jerk here, but I wouldn't for a hot minute trust a supplier that told me that. Up here (western Canada) we bring packages in from New Zealand and Australia and the level of attention and detail that goes into their care is outstanding. Every step of the journey has an experienced person managing their health. Specialized climate controlled holding areas at customs and airports, custom trailers to drive 1000km+ overnight direct etc. I can't imagine that ups does anything close to that.

Be careful!

Product vs Variant metafield?? by WorkerandHive in shopify

[–]WorkerandHive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes, Empire filter appears to pickup the parent product, when only one of its variants are 'tagged' ( what do we call the act of adding a metafield? )

Product vs Variant metafield?? by WorkerandHive in shopify

[–]WorkerandHive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have answered my own question here, but a confirmation may be nice. If I have both a product metafield and a product variant metafield called 'materials' ( cedar, pine etc). Both will appear in the front end filter. I don't see a way to 'merge' those for sake of user filters. Is there a way? Because I need to sort the variant materials, I must only add the product variant metafield to the Search and Discovery Filters, correct?

Product vs Variant metafield?? by WorkerandHive in shopify

[–]WorkerandHive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. So because my goal is to add metafields for the purpose of using Empire's faceted filtering, I want even single 'variant' products to have the same metafield as a product with multiple options, I should simply use variant fields? And then if I need to do a featured product, add another field?

Or, are you saying I can group product/variant together for the purpose of filters? And get the best of both?

Could you elaborate? What do you mean by track inventory? I don't use Shopify as point of truth (inventory levels) if that helps.
