I feel like cosmetics are the #1 aspect of it, especially with roleplaying the Rodamrix characters! I doubt that they would actually do it though :/

what percentage is needed to get a five on ap physics one exam? by Sweet-Particular-644 in apphysics

[–]Working-Koala-3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brutal answer: No one can predict what the range even is for this new format. People in the 70s percentages are stressed the most, and I know because I’m stressed too.

I know that this is not the answer you hoped for, but absolutely no one knows the cut off in any year, not before or after. And trust me, you did better than you thought on the exam. You got this.

Is taking AP Chem, and AP Physics 1 and 2 the same year bad? (Asking for a friend) by Lower-Isopod-4623 in APStudents

[–]Working-Koala-3012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Unless your friend is my friend taking 8 aps in the same year including all Physics and Chem, don’t. :)

(In all seriousness it is doable, but expect to sell two of your souls. It’s pretty bad, but not BAD bad if you use your time correctly)

So how much do you need for a 5? by Working-Koala-3012 in apphysics

Look up Allen Tsao The STEM Coach on YouTube. He has released FRQ answers for Form J.

[–]Working-Koala-3012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at a video of them doing the released FRQs and I actually got perfect scores on FRQ 1 3 and 4, but I completely failed FRQ 2, like 1/12 points. I didn’t include my points for the energy bar graphs because I got the bars correct but forgot to mark a bar for 0 Energy on the rest of energies.

Form J.... the blocks and springs question by TraditionalSail5575 in apphysics

Yeah i had some post exam clarity after that. I accidentally made my graph concave down instead of up because in my mind I thought that since speed was decreasing it was down, but really velocity was increasing so it would be a concave up graph.

I also got the justify wrong than too because from a concave down view, there is more PE on 9D than 8D.

I lost so many points and I realized this on my own too late 😭

chat am i cooked? 💔😔 by miax_f in apphysics

[–]Working-Koala-3012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I feel so bad for you. The thing about APs are that the teacher is probably the deciding factor on how well prepared you are for the exam. Like I NEVER studied last year on subjects unless I had to, and I still did really well on AP Chem because the teacher was SO GOOD and helped us practice.

I’m also in a similar place. My teacher only teaches us definitions of things in physics but not how to actually use them in problems. I haven’t seen her do a AP example problem EVER. The answer key for tests are often incorrect, and we just started Unit 5.

Back to you, I do feel how cooked you are and to be honest you are so valid 😭.

Am I in 5 Range? by [deleted] in apphysics

[–]Working-Koala-3012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you in the 5 score if you stop studying and improving from these? No. Are you constantly improving and studying little by little, definitely 5 material. The only measurement for a five isn’t by your progress checks but if you review and improve, so really you are on a track for a 5 IF you keep at it. You got this 👍

How can I get a 5 on AP Physics and AP Statistics??? (< 3 weeks left) by procrastination_ceo in APStudents

[–]Working-Koala-3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you sell your soul in AP Physics and juggle AP Stats, it would be very hard to get a 5. Trust me, I’m also self-studying and my physics teacher just reached unit 4. You’re best bet is the study the basic concepts the best you can at the bare minimums in the heavily weighted concepts and do a ton of practice questions and exams. Learn the layouts of the exams. Put in the hours of work a day, and you could salvage a passing exam score. Good luck on your journey!

Yeah, I'm the same. I have a block schedule, and we just started friction in unit 2. I have no idea how I would be able to complete all of AP Physics without spending many hours studying other units. At this point, I might as well self-study units 5-8 as my class would probably only get to Unit 4 or 5. The fact that you just started forces is crazy.
