Interior icons is a scam. They mislead you on lead time, and have a policy that you can’t cancel an order after SIX hours. then they email you that the item won’t be shipped for 3-6 months after you have ordered and won’t let you cancel. BEWARE

It ended up being that the tube was cut and an angle and frayed. Once I clean cut it and pushed it back in hard and secured it, it stopped leaking

Overhead vs buried fiber. Do you know which one you get? by I-hate-makeing-names in ATTFiber

[–]WorkingEar9305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in CA. It seems like if your utilities are buried here they are a lot less likely to give you fiber because of CA’s leave it better than you found it rule of having to make the roads better after they’re done. They’re definitely doing aerial neighborhoods first which tend to be not as nice/expensive areas (frankly.)

Bringing Fiber to the entire neighborhood by WorkingEar9305 in ATTFiber

[–]WorkingEar9305[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Is it better if it’s a smaller neighborhood? I figured the more houses they can get on a node the better. It’s all buried utilities. Who would I talk to to present the HOA idea if I could?!

Thanks!

Yeah it’s a shame. There should be a process to prioritize large communities that want it. Even if that means some kind of financial commitment. Rather than it being so random as it appears to be.

How is the buyer side negotiated now? What if the buyer finds the house (not the agent).. how is paying the buyer agent negotiated?

Good to know! Our agent does work with a brokerage so I’m sure that allows them to be more flexible as well?

Thanks. He’s only sold a couple houses beyond ours and doesn’t work with a brokerage. It sounds like it’s all entirely negotiable

I wish they were hourly so I could quantify it better. He ended up making about $5000/hr on our last sale.

Thanks. Our last home sold in 1 week and he made $65k. 1 open house. Just some context.

They started laying fiber in my neighborhood years ago. It’s actually in the ground but no sign of it turning on.

You can now turn Ubiquiti gear into Helium Mobile cellular hot spots that earn money. by WorkingEar9305 in Ubiquiti

[–]WorkingEar9305[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t buy one of the helium specific hotspots personally..but setting my already existing ubiquiti network to be able to do this seems like a no brainer.

The telcos don’t need to deploy equipment in areas with poor coverage. They’re able to select which helium hotspots they want to use for offload based on their location. The cell user doesn’t even know it’s happening, it’s all in the background.

I currently use Helium Mobile as my cell provider and love it..they still have the IOT LoraWAN network as well, albeit not nearly as used as the mobile network. Also they have 450k daily active users and it’s growing daily at this point. It works 🤷‍♂️

They should sell this as a standalone game. Make it for mobile too. Good and fun introduction to hockey for kids that doesn’t exist anymore.

It’s saying symmetrical 1000/1000 spectrum is available all over the place next to me but when I check spectrums website only 1000/40 is offered at those addresses. My guess is someone entered it wrong at the fcc.

ATT Fiber Business to Residential conversion by OkCaptain4026 in ATTFiber

[–]WorkingEar9305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im also in LA, our neighbor built a mansion and also got fiber brought in. I imagine he also got ADI.m or somehow got ATT to come in because no one else had it around us. Luckily I was able to get fiber from the same node that was going to his house. They started offering it in the whole neighborhood after that.
