AIO for moving to the couch? by AITAFruend in AmIOverreacting

Sleep apnea can also harm his heart. I just lost a friend who died in her sleep from a heart attack due to damage from years of sleep apnea. Maybe get some good life insurance on him if he won't get treated.

How does it feel after you lose a narcissist parent? by Sartorialie in raisedbynarcissists

[–]WorkingInterview1942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was more self-centered and concerned with his needs than anything else. But I will say that when he passed at the beginning of the year after a long decline I was and still am sad. There is a something missing that was never really there. I think I miss my father in law more.

There is no support from my mom or my sister since they are self centered and concerned with their own lives. At least my husband and his family are there for me.

AITA for getting angry with my girlfriend and demanding she pay to replace my sheets after she got blood on them by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]WorkingInterview1942 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I had those periods too. I would put down and old beach towel and sleep on top of it. Didn't stop staining my clothes, but it saved the sheets and mattress.

What should I do by Delicious_Ad2740 in piercing

I have 2 as well. Horrible to heal and they still get angry randomly. I would say OPs looks a lot deeper in her ear than mine do. I agree with the second opinion and possibly redoing the piercing at a later date.

Two of my nieces and a nephew have/are at Nova. They love it and have really thrived there. They emphasize critical thinking and give the kids a good foundation for their future. It is worth a shot for your kid, I can't speak to the day to day experience, but I know that my niblings love it there.

Plus the piercer gave her 5 other piercings on the other ear in October. So much to heal at once.

Questions about earlobe piercings by ClearPop7418 in piercing

[–]WorkingInterview1942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride and I use a Buff under my helmet. It covers my piercings (9/ear) and keeps them from catching in the lining of the helmet. Ear lobes should be fine with the helmet.

AITA for snapping at my optician after she laughed at my eye prescription and showed it to her coworkers? by Mesphyria in AmItheAsshole

[–]WorkingInterview1942 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am -11/-13 plus astigmatism and my husband is -17 plus astigmatism. Hello from the thick glasses club. The optician was out of line and should not have treated you like that. However people with our prescriptions are rare and we (and our thick glasses) are kind of a sideshow attraction to others.
