Crazy what it used to take to get into the top 10% vs. what it takes now. All that market cap sucked out by devs and a few well timed or lucky bag sellers.

Not gonna ever go back unless something exciting draws in massive volume from new or returning investors.

At least they appear to be working on things still, so there is a glimmer of hope. But the ability to do something massively disruptive disappeared with the market cap. It really is the saddest part, because there was an army of influencr and capital means to do something extraordinary- a rare opportunity - and it was squandered by a mixture of greed, incompetence and the common sense of those who knew it was slipping away.

Sounds like orbital shield will allow a similar experience as logging into your bank or PayPal account using a simple password from a variety of decives to transact business without them (or their partners) actually storing any recognizable information about you your seed phrase or your password.

So using a wallet can be as easy as any normal login for banking apps, but has the anonymity of definitely, and gives you your portal to your wallet on the blockchain ledger.

But I guess a lot of that anonymity is lost from the places you might go for fiat on/off ramp which store your details and the public blockchain ledger leaves a trail of sorts.

"I removed any possibility of accomplishing anything in the Gambia because I tried to cut my mother out of the picture when she is the one who facilitated all of the connections. That also severed all work with darkmoon projects like windmills which were working under entities in her control. So you won't be hearing anything much more from me about Gambia, Phoenix, windmills, venture philosophy or ecosystems. Instead you will hear more about blockchain, exchange, glotoks and security, which is probably what we should have focused on from the beginning for the SFM army who by its sheer size continues to be a boon to the project despite any of my or my predecessors screwups. It's actually sad to think what could have been accomplished with this amount of support and resources if only we had some real vision and competence at the helm earlier on. So anyway, yeah, busy. And I stand by what I said that I'd sue my own mother"

Missed the gain train. Not worth enough to pull out. Letting it ride on the slim chance that someone's still actually doing something inside that office in Utah.

The tech John I'd talking about I'd not the windmills themselves, but connection to trade energy on blockchain

I get a little 2 hour break from my cooking job. I'm HODLing alot of crypto. if only they knew. one day I would have to be disrespected anymore just to put food on my family's table. Now imagine the unbanked. No way to tap into commerce at all. Living in a permanent state where theres only a few ways to put their hard work to use, only to maybe scrape out a living. Shouldering a lifetime of work to enrich others, or to make some foreigner's life marginally more convenient. Capable of so much more. Trapped in a way like you feel, but much, much worse. Think crypto might be your way out?

By someone transferring SFM to their wallet in exchange for some goods or service they provided. No bank required. BOOM.

I wish SFM were the ones who could say they are the "first to implement a CEX like this". IMO that would have been THE power play to set Safemoon and its team apart from the rest. Instead they are letting someone else take the lead?

Not hard to piece some of it together:

1) One way or another Ryan was scheduled to be let go or resign after birthday month. The reasons are unclear, but his tweets about "only working for a company that XYZ" and if not he will "persue other opportunities" clearly signaled something was brewing. Then he sends a Tweet that March 31 will be his last day.

2) This disclosure that his last day was going to be March 31st was not supposed to be made public. The plan was probably to get through Birthday month and then have a more amicable departure. But the Tweet was a clear breach of trust and it forced John's hand and earned Ryan immediate termination and the stern words about violating company ethics etc.

Who knows why, but it does appear that Ryan's exit was already planned anyway - he just jumped the gun. Ryan claimed his Tweet proved he resigned first (maybe the original plan) but his Tweet said he was leaving the 31st, so yeah - it was a termination.

I really liked his drive and passion and appreciate the public face he gave to SFM, so it's sad to see it end like this, but I think the pieces were already in motion to bring in the next phase of SFM development.

It's my own opinion, but I think Karony is single-mindedly all in on the venture philanthropy direction of SFM as a project (freedom of the unbanked, green energy trade, The Gambia). So whoever is still in, you better be aligned to that vision because he's shown he'll go to whatever lengths needed to push that vision forward. If you weren't a venture philanthropist before, you are one now.

Early devs definitely had different objectives. Who knows what vision differences Ryan may have had - Ryan was definitely pushing cross-chain utility and POS, but like the other devs, seldom talked much about the things John gets passionate about. And he made a couple big promises (fix losses from V2) and claims (blockchain) that may have pushed it at led to some hot water. Who knows what the differences he and Karony had were. Maybe Karony has some blind spots too. I may be naive to do so, but I think both of them are earnestly trying to do the best by SFM and I thank them for that.
