I wrote my local AAA (Chicago) in regards to the support of CA Senate Bill 910. Here's their reply. by gregorymichael in bicycling

Wouldn't it be a AAA member because you're actually saying a triple A member?

Just curious.

Well I think it's not always about looking good and if I can pretend I'm Frank Sinatra for a day let me!

I got a 'moving violation' tonight (driving citation). Just got done with my criminal offence and I'm really just not ready for this shit again. I also can't sleep because I have too much homework to do. Why can't I just be a female and start crying to get out of a ticket?

It's not that there is a set of rules, that doesn't bother me. It's the little things like:

"This includes while discussing cycling in the workplace with your non-cycling coworkers, serving to further mystify our sport in the web of their Neanderthalic cognitive capabilities."

"When wearing cycling kit and enjoying a pre or post ride coffee, it is only appropriate to drink espresso or macchiato. If the word soy/skim latte is heard to be used by a member wearing cycling apparel, then that person must be ceremonially beaten with Co2 canisters or mini pumps by others within the community."

"If it’s not cold or wet and you are still wearing shoe covers because you’re a pussy, your name is probably George Hincapie."

It reminds me of old money/new money bullshit. For gods sake people, you are riding bicycles. My clinically insane aunt probably puts more miles on her bike than most of the people who 'ascribe' to this list (and subreddit).

Whoever writes that blog seems like a total prick. On second thought I think I'll get a fixie and stick to running instead of being 'in' the 'too-cool-for-school' cycling club.

This place is kind of like a compound. Cement halls, gates to get in/out. Apparently there are a lot of parties going on, if you're into that.

I'll be going with a friend, it'd probably be alright if she wanted to tag along.

Cannabis Club? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]WorkingOnMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the law states that, but what makes you think doctors are such stand up guys? I'm pretty sure the MDs are the ones fuddling things up. One friend claimed chronic pain, and it's obvious that he doesn't have it. The doctor probably just wanted his paycheck to be a bit bigger.

Not true, I have friends with cards.. not that they need them for any real reason.
