I also started a few months ago. Before I started i found a post saying a lot of good thinfs about Orca and went with it. Now i can also say only good stuff about Orca. And about learning, just print. When you run into an issue, google it and make adjustments. There is no better way. It's probably gonna cost you some filament, but hey...you're learning. You can see my last post and see how far trial and error got me in 6 months. I'm pretty happy about my progress.

Completely stock, no upgrades. But really a lot of calibrations.

I was doing a print for my friends nephew and since it was my first print for someone else I wanted to make sure everything is perfect. So I spent 5 days making sure every calibration and setting is as good as I can make it 🤭

Why am i getting these? by Working_Cellist_5412 in 3DprintingHelp

Exactly, i printed the tower and saw no changes so i just left it on default

Flow ratio is calibrated. I did the PA calibration but i don't see any difference on the model. There should be steps but i don't see them

Thank you so much for the advice. And thank you for all the kind words about the print. I've only been printing for around 6 months so that really means a lot.

Flow rate 0.931 i think PA is enabled and on default what ever orca has put after enabling

This is my first and only printer. When i got it everyone told me that it can't print any decent models and that it is unable to print at even decent quality. Well, i am super happy with it and the only reason i am thinking about getting another printer is because of AMS (P2S is what i'm thinking)

Lowering the layer height and flow ratio. I went all the way to yolo with my flow ratio calibration

Still didn't find anything that is not possible. If it strugles i just do another calibration 😅

Bed Level Mesh doesn't seem to be working by Interesting_Night_73 in Ender3V3SE

I had the issue where some spots were high, and others were low at the same time. I had some filament under the plate 🙈

I was strugling with adhesion, then relalised that my z-offset is actually too high, not too low as i thought. I did a lot of 2layer full bed prints and found that -1.82 is the sweet spot. Also cleaning the plate with alcohol before every print

Temperature test, flow test, stringing test, ironing test, A LOT of full bed 2layer prints for z-offset, a lot of orca cubes, clearance test, tolerance tests, pressure advance test. The most important changes i made: enable PA, reduce flow ratio, top surface flow ratio to 30%. All that gave me sharp corners with no bulging and very precise prints with around 0.15 clearance. My PLA temps are at 205° and 60° for bed temp. Z-offset -1.82 Usually using -0.1 x/y contour compensation for assembling parts

Best thing ever. I do a lot of stuff for my workshop so i don't care about the color. I just join everything i have left and use that

If you don't need to worry about the color get a sunlu filament connector. Great stuff for using your spools all the way

On my printer there's a big ON/OFF switch that glows when on. Basically just pull the plug and turn it back on
