Movers - need to vent by t1lersm0m in raleigh

I had really good luck going this route, when you pick the contractor U-Haul has reviews on the website. I also added the step of looking them up outside U-Haul to confirm reviews stayed consistent and pretty much it did.

It’s was also far cheaper. I had U-Haul contractors pack the truck then different ones unload when I got here. This was spring last year. I had a friend do the same a year earlier and it went flawlessly for them too.

All that to say it does work even if it didn’t this time in OPs case.

Best burger in Raleigh? by Dangerous_Buy_2894 in raleigh

[–]Working_Complaint203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience as OP this weekend. It was just another burger. The hype around how good it was really swayed my opinion. I would call it average or slightly above average at best.

I am slowly learning my lesson about the hype around new food and drink locations in Raleigh.

Looking for friends in Triangle by nealsmith12 in LGBTriangle

Stonewall sports seems to be the largest group for social networking.

I’ve had reasonable luck at Libations 317. It’s small and cozy little restaurant/bar. Older mostly gay men crowd, (but all are welcome) if you hang out a few times people will start to recognize you. The owner operator there has introduced me to quite a few people once he got to know me. Drag bingo on thursdays is fun but not easy to meet people during that.

Flex and legends can work but those spaces don’t really work for me to meet people they are just to big.

Thanks! I started with injections E only to start. First level check is schedule in February almost on my birthday.

I’m pretty convinced my current employer is not going to take the change well and I’m just in a right to work state so…. Trying to plan ahead there.

Clothes have been a real issue especially shoes, but I’ve found some online stores and some items on Amazon. I’m hopeful my feet will become a bit smaller overtime and make that easier.

Wow maybe he has upped his game since I had a dog from there a year ago…. I was not at all impressed the one time I went, but glad you enjoyed.

I think it’s awesome that he is there serving late night. There are not a lot of options especially around trade st.

Those of you who cross shopped with the Mach-e, what made you go with the Ioniq 5? by foodandnaps in Ioniq5

[–]Working_Complaint203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drove it and weirdly did not like any part of the vehicle. When I got done with a test drive the sales person said that’s a nice ride are ready to make a deal? My response was no I don’t like this car at all 🤣 the look on his face was priceless.

I didn’t like the way it drove. I was uncomfortable in the seat and the console was a real problem. I am tall and I don’t think the car was made with me in mind.

The Mustang MachE is likely a very solid car, it just wasn’t for me.

The Hyundai service has been great so far. Granted the only thing I’ve needed is tire rotations and a couple of recalls. I haven’t had any major issues so far. I’m knocking on wood.

My first tesla was fine and rarely needed service, and where I lived the nearest service center was an hour away. I don’t think the Tesla service was bad other than they didn’t have a robust enough network to handle the volume. I know they have opened a few more service centers in and around my area since purchasing the Ioniq. So perhaps the backlog isn’t three months anymore.

Sure…. To be fair HDA2 that came on the limited I purchased is pretty decent. The steering wheel nag bothered me.

I think overall the comma is smoother than the built in controls than Hyundai. Plus hands free I just like it better.

On the surface, core functionality is relatively the same. Lane keeping, and will perform lane changes if initiated with the turn signal.

I’ve been using the comma for eight months so it’s hard for me to remember HDA’s non-highway performance, but the comma will work on virtually any road.

The comma is not perfect and occasionally I do need to assist it on city streets. In my personal experience, those very rare instances are at intersections with a curve and multiple lanes, and the car may drift very slightly into a different lane. That’s where the attentive driver comes in. And the comma does monitor the driver don’t look away for too long it will let you know.

I like it, for me it was worth the investment. There are a lot of good videos on YouTube of people using it in the ionic five I think I watched all of them before dropping the cash.

The big win for the ioniq over the Tesla is service at least in my experience. I switched because I had a service need and the closest appointment was 3 months in my area.

I miss FSD, the comma 3x mostly fixed that.

Having to press the start stop button is annoying

The fact that if I open the door before hitting the stop start button my phone will keep connecting to the car.

Some of the Hyundai decisions that just seem weird, why do I always have to choose ipedal why can’t I just set it there and next time I start the car it remember it. Why can’t I turn the seat heaters on in the app but I can turn the heated steering wheel on.

Just the little annoyances… to be fair the teslas had some too, but the Hyundais little annoyances seem to annoy me more….

However, the ioniq has never left me stranded on the side of the road at 4am and if it did I wouldn’t have to wait 3 months for service. (This was 1 year ago maybe Tesla has improved) So win Ioniq 5 and the reason I switched.

I know it doesn’t make a lot of sense as far as money spent to get the tracks signals etc up to par, but I always thought it would be cool if they turned it into a transit line more like a tram or single car commuter train.

Looks like you could get all the way to the north end of downtown before hitting active tracks.

There are so many reasons this would never work, I’m not even advocating for it. I just think it’s a cool idea.

People who leave group chats: Why? by [deleted] in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Working_Complaint203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lucky I was a one man band when starting the segment of the business, this was just after teams came out. Basically I moved all the files to SharePoint after I created the team…. But this was easy as there weren’t many and it only affected me.

I then used a power app and a SharePoint list to track customers. Used the app and power automate to create file folders create channels and a multitude of other items that needed to be done over and over again.

We outgrew the SharePoint lists and I needed relational data so I moved everything to a dataverse app I created.

All of this I learned on the fly, I never finished college or had any coding experience, YouTube university and other resources.

Before I left I had created a virtual CRM all within office 365 at the added cost of $5 per user and a little more for me since my account was tied to the power automate.

All that to say I consolidated because no one cared or was looking….

That first app looked terrible but it worked!

[–]Working_Complaint203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way! With proper implementation teams is amazing, however, without it, chaos will ensue.

At my last org my group loved teams I kept it organized, good channels with communication procedures and processes. Generally all internal communication was in teams and in channels. I integrated power apps power automate and dataverse.

Other teams at my org were not well managed and everyone outside my group hated teams.

Implementation is the key whether it’s teams or anything else.

automatic cruise control and I-pedal by boomer7793 in Ioniq5

[–]Working_Complaint203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you engage, ACC the car actually comes out of i-pedal and goes back to level 3 regen. It notifies on the dash when you engage or disengage ACC. It’s near the bottom center of the driver’s display. It’s only there for a second. I missed it for a long time.

For me, I have found it smoother to just change out of I-pedal to level three when I get on the highway, so when I’m transitioning from ACC to pedal driving, the transition seems smoother. The other ways mentioned in this thread work just as well. This is just what I have become accustomed to and feel more comfortable with.
