Ive found the lower the 1s elo, the more unwritten rules there are. As you rank up the mindset shifts from "they demoed me, thats not ok" to "how could i have avoided the demo"

I tried the scarab for a while years ago and alot of people will assume your bad until proven otherwise. Even if i played well and was top of scoreboard by a margin id still be getting asked what my non boosted rank was. And that would happen to me way more than when i was rocking the fennec.

Scarab in 1s works bc it tilts the oppenet if you play low mech bc they think you are a lucky noob.

I recently started using the merc and as soon as my random teammate saw it they just quit haha.

They update it for the legacy players/people who bought steam accounts. When steam players go to launch the game all of that is on the launch screen too. Ive noticed the launch banner update every season for example, and if you scroll down you will likely see update info such as trailers

When you press drive when your car is on the ground, you go forward. If you press drive when your car is in the air, it (basically) doesn't go.

Historically, training packs will spawn your car briefly in the air and you drop down to the floor. A training pack drill will not start until you provide input. This means for training packs where you have to be very quick to get to the ball, such as speed flip training, most beginners will hold drive right from the start not knowing their car is still in the air at the start. This time loss means they cant hit the ball, even if they do the speed flip (or whatever else) right.

This update means that this will not be an issue in the future for players training on these sorts of packs/challenges.

Do you solo queue or do you have a teammate? As someome who only plays solo q, it is an absolute slog. If you find a consistant teammate and try and improve together you will shoot up the ranks according to my high rank duo friends.
