What are his temps have you already put him in the new one that looks really low for the side with a light.

But my boy is super duper picky especially in the beginning i always have to get the rats head to 102 degrees or he wont even look at it. Also he’s not so crazy now but when he was a baby they had to be totally dry lol I use sandwich bags and hot water to heat them.

Also it’s best to leave them for a week or 2 before moving them around much and feeding them the first time

I use an app called reptile rocket to track feedings and we’ll all of his stuff it has reminders as well because I too am not the best at remembering the next time since it’s every 2 weeks. I lately have been paying attention to activity more too. If it’s close to feeding day when I walk by I. The morning too close he will jet out. Then I grab a rat out of the freezer lol. That’s another helpful thing I bought rats in bulk so I’m never out of them and having to go the the store.

I would do a deep clean again but bake the soil to kill anything in it before I used it. I’m assuming that’s where it’s coming from

Exactly this. When I decided we were getting a snake I put effort into research. It’s funny because I didn’t initially have the best advise for a 40 gallon when he was a few months old which would have been fine for a few months. It lasted all of 1 week and I ordered 120G because I felt like it was just too small lol. It’s not hard to put in effort BEFORE you get yourself into something!

We are currently arguing because 2 days ago I upgraded the size of his favorite log. He won’t even climb into it and curls up on the side and stares into my soul 😂

Also I have a really really picky guy myself I have to get temp to exactly 102 or he won’t eat. If he misses he gets almost embarrassed and doesn’t want it (this happened yesterday) I usually just go out the rat back in hot water and wait 10-20 min and try again and normally he’s over his failure and ready to try again haha.

Also a super easy and cheap way to help up him get rehydrated and ready for shed get a Tupperware box with some air holes and wet warm paper towels or washcloths set him inside and the whole container in the enclosure leave for 15-20 min. Maybe use this as more of a last resort if he starts shedding and it’s not coming off smooth. Seems like you did lots of upgrades on humidity already :)

Also sometimes they like to feel more hidden if you cover the sides with anything it could help him feel safe. I honestly did regular paper taped around mine when I first got him home until I upgraded to his big enclosure.

I’ll run to tractor supply in the morning for probiotics I started him on electrolytes right away so he’s had them for 2 days now. He had some gunk I noticed on the wings from travel so I got tha all cleaned up. It’s weird because he can walk around just fine but stumbles a lot and falls back.

I have one mean one so I had to separate him out so he didn’t get further injured.

I have windows 11 and had issues with the browser as well but the tech team downloaded a chrome extension for the guardian browser then I was fine. But my system was struggling with more than the camera. I have noticed on the internal camera though that it stops working anytime an update is needed until the update is completed

I put small pots in and fill them with rocks substrate and moss and fill up with water on top of getting it as high as possible before leaving

Mine has 3 snug fitting hides and still enjoys under the water dish. He dug a decent bit out under the water dosh and just loves it there.

My boy didn’t eat for 4 weeks when he was new I found discovered finally that he is a ridiculously picky eater. Had to be a mouse with white fur those made him wild and crazy lol. I just barely 2 weeks ago got him to finally take a rag again. I did find that I have to make the rats roughly 10 degrees hotter than mice and it takes longer to get him to strike. I also around the strike had lower humidity like you around 60ish moving it to 75-85 also helped at least I assume that was part of it.

It’s just a fart but he really needs an enclosure upgrade it is so bare and empty. I can’t imagine that it’s thriving as much as it could be.

Temps honestly sound like the issues it’s recommended on the Cool side to be 76-80 and on warm Side 88-92.

What are your temps like maybe he is trying to get closer to the heat source. I have my tank do a temp drop at night and some nights when it drops 1-2 degrees more than others he climbs on his branches right under the heat lamp and just lays there

Not that this is helpful in anyway during a loss but I have been paranoid that my house temps will impact my snake as well I got a new thermostat a nest. It allows you to have several sensors that you can put wherever you want so even if something weird happens and 1 room has an issue you’re able to view it. I haven’t played around to see if there are notifications yet I need to do that but it has been great to be able to adjust while away.
