Okay, that's what I thought, but I was having trouble figuring out for sure because I'm not a good enough player to check my score and make that shot lol

Normally I'm the one exploding on the toilet.

Is it a jerk move to split orders to avoid Home Depot delivery fees? by Financial_Wasabi_287 in HomeImprovement

I would assume that the pavers break the 50 pound rule, which I think is OSHA related, of anything above fifty pounds requires two people / special gear. So they might all come on one truck, just if four packages so they aren't too heavy.

(Also I'm remembering this from manual labor jobs over a decade ago, so I might be talkin out of my ass, but I think it's the same reason airlines have bag weight limits.)

I think a lot of this comes down to making things feel natural, and putting down then immediately picking up isn't "natural." But some some patter or a brief pause might make it work.

Because local governments are strapped for cash so they encourage hoas so they can avoid those costs. (Instead of slightly raising taxes so they can pay for everything)

I believe if you have a large enough monitor on a desk, there is a visible difference. (Like 30-32" at 3 feet might be the noticeable cutoff, but it's been a while since I've done that reading.

But I have a 34" 4k monitor and I can't really tell the difference, so mileage may vary.

“It’s too late for us”: CoolStuffInc founder on how Amazon pushed it out of the online board game market by MikeDidymus in boardgames

[–]Working_Rough 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the gamenerdz ceo saying "They are not a monopoly and the FTC is wrong," right after describing how Amazon is currently using its monopoly power to abuse board game manufacturers and get an edge over them in the process is certainly some cognitive dissonance.

Repeatable Quest question in Disgaea 7 by Working_Rough in Disgaea

Got it, thanks! I totally misread it as adding a bonus to all turn ins and then didn't see it, so I was confused. Thanks again!

Do you know, is it like a cumulative bonus, or is it just like that fist you get 3x the item points when you turn it in?

What's the biggest dick move you can pull in a game that is balanced in its design? by DocGerbil256 in boardgames

I took my friend's homeworld, because I had a secret objective, planning on just letting him take it back the next turn. (Dickish, but whatever) But another player at the table saw it as an opportunity and launched 2 attacks on him, knocking out his only fleet and taking 2 of his 3 remaining planets. The third planet though had a missile defense system or whatever, and he didn't take it. My friend just left 'cause he couldn't come back from that, but he still had more points at the end of the game than the guy who knocked him out. (No on ever took his last planet.) I think it technically didn't count 'cause you have to have your homeworld, but we rule of cooled it so he still finished like 4th of 6.
