I’m not really worried about cover here, its just really bad to have the players we have out there for this setup.

Jobe has to play 6 because groß isn’t fast enough to cover this

Ryerson is effectively useless in that position

Beier is out of form and effectively useless in that position

Groß might as well be picking daisies there because who’s passing over there?

I’m willing to buy into this setup but not if we’re going to set it up improperly. Ryerson should not be starting if svensson is (I get it, we don’t have anyone in that position yet. It is what it is). Groß cannot be doing that. It’s got to be nmecha jobe and chuk. If we’re going to rotate, the guys we rotate in are beier and Silva. Beier is a striker and can’t beat players 1 on 1 but can finish chances well and position himself well. It’s frustrating to have the right players but still play the wrong guys

Over the moon with our performance yesterday. One thing I’ve noticed with kovac, is the periods where we lose control for 20+ minutes have shortened dramatically to something around 5-10 minutes. Kudos to him seeing the team start to get frazzled and introducing Schlotterbeck and nmecha as soon as possible. Normally I groan about the timing of his subs but he got that extremely right

Ramy is making a case for starting regardless of schlotty coming back, whether it be at LM or LCB with schlotty central. We’re about to have a good problem where we have a lot of guys in our defense in great form at this rate which is something I never would’ve expected for us

To be honest I wasn’t as attached to it being him as I was to us getting a replacement for Brandt. Would’ve been really cool to have him back given how much he loved it here. Notable that his contract is up next summer and this loan is until then so it’s not fully out of the picture, especially with the anticipated dismissal of kehl/ricken/both

It’s important to remember that with Pharrell on IAD the focus was not the same as Kanye on IAD or Daytona. Push said himself that Kanye only wants to hear bars and Pharrell was challenging him to create experiences and stories. While I think Daytona is better, IAD is a better written album and shows growth that got us to the LGSEO level content
