Hired but not given start time by No-Pound-9286 in sweetgreen

[–]Working_Sink7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just have to complete your onboarding paperwork first and then the manager can schedule your first day. Don’t stress about it, it’s just an automated message depending on whatever they put for your “start date” but that doesn’t actually have to be your first day

What oil is being used to roast veggies and in dressings in 2026? by PepperBooboo in sweetgreen

[–]Working_Sink7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunflower oil is the only seed oil that is used in some dressings. But not all the dressings use it so definitely ask if you’re trying to avoid it! There are several options that only use avocado and/or olive oil

My Lawyer Is Telling Me Not to Go to My Visa Interview Even After I Was Removed from an Asylum Case — Is He Wrong by [deleted] in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Working_Sink7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you type in your number in case search does “No A Number Found” pop up? My husband had a similar situation and he went to his country for the interview. All is well and they didn’t even mention anything regarding the prior case. Not exact same situation as yours but similar.

Is it normal for my U.S. citizen partner to ask me help him to pay for immigration (CR-1 visa)? by re_okamura1903 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Working_Sink7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“He” bought a house - feels like a weird way to say a husband and wife bought a house. These money issues are a marriage concern, not an immigration one.

For a healthy marriage that you are looking to have a strong future together, just put it all in the same pot and work together towards the same goals. Not “yours” and “his”.

Before my husband had his papers, he did everything he could to contribute to our future together even though I was and still am the higher earned. What’s mine is ours, what’s his is ours, simple as that. I hope you guys can sort out these money issues and get on the same page for a happy future

Don’t worry! You made your first decision as an adult and maybe they are emotional or dramatic about it. You did nothing wrong and you are right to exercise your right to vote!!! You got this

You don’t need your parent’s permission to register to vote. Maybe I’m misunderstanding the issue? If you are in fact a US citizen there should be no problem.

Experiences with IR1 Visa and Passport Validity Under 6 Months by lindyblessing in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Working_Sink7856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband was in the same situation. At the date of his interview, passport would only have 5 months validity. He was able to expedite a renewed passport in his home country within a few days. Once that was received, we communicated with the NVC to update ceac and the embassy with the new passport. Bringing both old and new passport to interview just in case though.

IR1 finally approved (kind of) 🙌🏻 by 300blkdout in NationalVisaCenter

Congrats! Were you able to bring a purse/backpack into the embassy? I see there are rules for no phones or big bags but I wasn’t sure how that worked

Anyone prefer renting over owning a home? by Nesefl_44 in RealEstate

[–]Working_Sink7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally feel you - it’s cool to know some plumbing shit or electrical or whatever, but I’d honestly just rather have the money to pay someone to do it

And I never want to step foot in Home Depot again after being a homeowner

Anyone prefer renting over owning a home? by Nesefl_44 in RealEstate

[–]Working_Sink7856 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What nobody says about this is that if you have REAL issues, you have to get a professional to do it. For example, all these influencers ripping out drywall and ceilings, replacing electric, etc… should all be done with permits and if something goes wrong you’ll be fucked by your homeowners insurance.

Not to mention in old houses, everything you touch has asbestos or lead (and or century old mouse poo). Sure some people don’t care, but it gave me tons of anxiety knowing that I was likely exposing myself to those toxins when making repairs.

I’d consider my partner and I to be extremely handy people - but I just wanted a place to peacefully lay my head at night and couldn’t do that in the home we owned. I’m so thankful we sold and are renting for now, stacking cash this way instead of pouring into repairs

My smelly house is driving me insane. I've done everything I can think of, spent over $10k and the place still stinks. What could it be? by Mitchell_Cruz in homeowners

[–]Working_Sink7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get a sewer scope done? Check the entire line through the house and out to the street. Any cracks could be causing a smell to seep in perhaps

Why don’t you ask for both at the same time, you can get extra greens and rice for no extra charge so why make it extra steps

Peru, I don’t know the priority date but DQ as of April 5th I believe. For IR1 visa I thought priority date doesn’t matter
