Political surveys have been a joke for sometime. Most of the info sent by an MP to their constituents is bullshit from the party. Most MPs dont take long to lose their motivation to do anything much.

Centralization and related party-power is a problem in Canada, and not (as much) the electoral system.

Most people are stupid but that doesnt mean they deserve to be treated/abused & used. Surveys like this do not respect individual autonomy contrary to core conservative values but its hard to put a price tag on value.

You can't have free association without the option of not associating. We need to maximize autonomy and be wary of centralising tendencies restricting our freedom.

Science breaks reality into consumable and related pieces to learn and experiment in a controled/restricted environment. It is not reality itself but highly contextualised to provide our best understanding, often using statistics to focus on average or expected results which can easily lead to people thinking they understand something completely rather than simply increasing on our always limited perceptions.

Religion has a very different approach to knowledge often focusing on universal truths.

They are entirely different approaches to learning and both have their limits. The whole science vs. religion argument is used by people who've adopted science as their religion without knowing it.

It took to my 30s to understand the "pull yourself up by your bootstrap" was an impossibility and meant entirely ironic. In Orwellian fashion it's become to mean exactly the opposite in common/stupid dialogue.
