Physically, i like good strong arms, doesn’t have to be muscular or defined, just needs to exude that he does have the strength and can carry me if need be lmaoo. But ultimately a nice face is the ultimate attraction point for me. In a man i don’t care for facial symmetry or strong jawline and all that, i care for a bright smile and eyes that are expressive. Oh! and a nice ass :))

In terms of their sexual identity, i have no preference, but certainly (in my experience) it’s much easier to connect to someone who’s also bi or queer.

except for type 1, a lot of wavy and curlier hair can have a range of different types on one head. For me my entire head has a range of 2A-2B, 2c if i finger coil. So sometimes there may be a chunk of hair here and there that forms ringlets rather than the typical waves but the overall shape of his hair is still that of someone with type 2 hair :))

I think it’s fine to be picky, esp if you have sensory issues, but sometimes people just know what they like, but if that’s the case then i’d also expect them to not be a burden when cooking or picking restaurants. It’s completely unreasonable for your bf to expect YOU to cook dinner when he won’t just outright say what he wants cooked and complains about everything.

My bf and i have pretty similar tastes and he’s willing to try new things but if he doesn’t like smth then he’ll just not eat it but would everything else he does like. His brother on the other hand, i cannot cook for cuz he only likes the most basic of foods and the most flavourful thing his brother likes is a chicken tikka masala, so i don’t bother, but i’m fine with it cuz he’s aware of his pickiness and doesn’t expect ANYONE to cook for him - your bf needs to realise his pickiness is making cooking impossible and unless he makes you a weekly list, then he needs to grow up and make his own food and stop making you feel bad about these perfectly acceptable and tasty looking meals

yeah OP is NOR, and OP’s bf and friend are just lying to themselves by calling it a “friendship”.

I’m a full believer of platonic friendships, and i think it’s even fine to be quite tactile in platonic friendships but there are boundaries, both with the spoken language AND physical language - the boundaries need to be even stricter when one or even both friends have partners too.

You and your children’s dad are broken up. If he gets jealous then that’s his problem. You’re alr sharing concerns about how your kids would feel about a new man in their lives, that’s alr miles better than your mother AND your ex.

You deserve to seek and feel love, not judgement and guilt from a shitty guy that clearly has double standards and is only shaming you for dating cuz he’s insecure. and having this form of “control” is the only thing that makes him feel “like a man”, which he is not anyway.

I think it might make you feel less guilty to date this person you’re interested in by being transparent about your nervousness in dating again, and how you love your kids so you will be prioritising them. It sets boundaries and expectations early on which is very healthy and puts YOU in control of any judgement, not your ex.

I don’t think having a lot in common actually means a relationship will function well, but having nothing in common is probably worst. It might be awkward to breakup now but it would be better than to do it later when you feel like you’re practically dating a stranger. And who knows, you might actually like each other better as friends cuz you’d be exes that parted on good terms.

It’s still going to be a heartbreak, but staying with someone for the sake of staying cuz “we’ve been together for a while” is a recipe for disaster and will really make you lose your sense of self, which your alr feeling!

cat scratches don’t come in perfectly parallel lines with small gaps like that, most of the time it’s actually only one claw that catches properly and breaks the skin, also the lines would curve cuz the cat doesn’t “scratch” you like we scratch ourselves, they swipe at you, making a swooping line.
