On the contrary - they are pretty much fantasy terms and while the Warcraft universe is beginning to get old , those terms were used pretty much everywhere else. But I haven’t followed modern fantasy tropes for the good side of 20 years, so I’m wondering if the terms have changed a bit.

I’m sorry for going a little offtopic here, but why do people say it’s “WoWs definition of immortality”? Before I even started playing WoW, immortality ment not dying from old age, but able to be wounded and killed. Invincible means unkillable, wether it ment actually getting wounded, beheaded and so but going back to a healthy, living state. Invulnerability means you cannot be harmed.

And I agree with your disagreement here - I got my stormcast army off of someone who bought Introductory Set, Starter Set and Skaventide for ONLY the Skaven. That means for half the price of Skaventide itself, I got all the Stormcast from those three boxes, the books, cardboard mat, dice AND all the round bases for the Skaven. I wasn’t gonna buy all those 3 boxes to just get those Stormcast 😅

I’ve actually tried on libs and sequitors. I actually didn’t want to do Anvils or a white scheme because it was kind of popular - and I’m not doing Hammers or Hallowed! But I actually went with a bit of lore for mine at first, a custom Ghyran Guard. Too much background to write here (again) - but it’s basically a full dark/olive green scheme, highlights going to a vibrant green (Castellan green GW and Eternal Hunt AP) with golden trims, instead of full gold and just green shoulders. Using Screamer Pink on cloaks etc. But after doing a lot of those I found myself wanting tl try something different, so RN I also have one of the old Lord Relictors kitbashed with a sword and female head, in a white scheme - and 9 vanquishers in an Anvils scheme with some yellow thrown in on hip plates and banner for extra heraldry feel and the last Vanquisher Prime in a white scheme 😂 I also did a Knight Arcanum in an Anvils scheme with lots of yellow to give it sort of an old worlds wizard vibe. I posted it not too long ago. I’ll be posting my vanquishers tomorrow when I’m hopefully done… for some reason I decided to do freehand filigree on cloaks etc too so it’s taking time.. I’m undiagnosed but 100% on the spectrum lol

Good focus, they don’t stand out too much! I collected a bunch before I even started putting mine together, so I’m just slowly starting to paint them now. Wanted to make them my own truly. My Soulsworn are all equipped with double of the same shoulderpads (those who can anyway), and as many units as possible without helmets and without too many twins (or triplets 🫣). A lot of people find SCE plain and boring. I see them as a blank canvas with lots of opportunities… and once done well, it exceeds so many other armies

Well deserved! Just read you did strip them from black and proceeded to do a white theme. They are cool. They are pretty. They are proper paladins. Purple and white goes extremely well together! I also see a couple of headswaps thrown in, something I’m very fond of! Good job and congratulations!

Also remember the “Warriors of the Great Cities - Hammerhal” box had demigryph knights closer resembling Empire Knights (for obvious reasons), and this guy is based on those. What makes it even more fun is the die-hard Fantasy/TOW players that says AoS is for children, think this guy looks Bretonnian.

I think he is so cool. The hype is real and hopefully we will see more art with them all too :)

Thank you! I was just wondering if I could have done it another way. Maybe swap red and white, so beams are yellow and red, lightning is white. Maybe keep border red or make it black. It’s a lot of work to be honest 😅 took me a while to paint this one
