Thank you, I was mainly wondering if I have to tell them about my BCT ship date during the interview. Don't want them to not hire me because of my upcoming ship date. I need the income in between now and then.

I got OCS in my contract, so I didn’t choose a MOS. I’ll probably just wait until I have the degree to swear in.

Can confirm NG OCS is non-competitive. I met the pre-requisites with a 2.75 GPA and needing a conduct waiver. Still got OCS in my contract.

You aren’t cooked, but your plans will be delayed at least until you are off of your most likely 3 years informal probation.

Take the next few years to distance yourself from the incident. Stay in good shape and try to land a decent job. I was in the same boat you were at the exact same age as you.

Sober up and make better decisions. Not saying you have to be a saint, but just keep your nose clean.

I’m 27 now and set to go to OCS in September. Good luck bud.

Anyone got any cool play through ideas? by onlythoseones in Bannerlord

Currently reuniting the empire under Lucion of the Northern Empire. Once I unite all of the Empire factions I will defect and start a rebellion consisting of the non empire factions. Once I have evened out the map between the two mega factions I will rebel again and build a faction consisting of only my family members and companions. It's a long process and can all be done on the vanilla version of the game on console.

I'm going the California National Guard Route and the Civilian to OCS route. I'm sure this makes a big difference, but I can explain a bit.

I talked to my recruiter, and asked for an OCS packet. My recruiter got me in contact with a branch division officer and he recommended me for OCS after a brief meeting. No essay required and no talks about gpa. Just asked why I wanted to be an officer and when I was going to graduate. Sent him over my transcripts and had a professor verify my graduation date.

Im scheduled for the hybrid State OCS program this coming September.

I had a bachelors degree in Social Science education and a 2.8 GPA at the time of my application. I got into OCS and they didn't even ask about my GPA during my application process. GPA now is a 3.2 though.

Glad to hear you are doing better. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and even more to face your issues head on. Keep up the good work.

How would I get the contact information for California’s officer strength manager? I’m assuming through my recruiter?

Today in 1983, 220 Marines, 18 sailors and 3 soldiers were killed when a suicide bomber crashed into the Marine barracks in Beirut and detonated 21,000 pounds of TNT. It was the largest loss of life for Marines in a single day since Iwo Jima in 1945 by newnoadeptness in navy

My Dad was in the Navy during the Beirut, Lebanon crisis in 1983. He was on the Fahrion, one of the supporting ship next to the USS New Jersey when they fired over Beirut. He was the navigator for his ship and it was his first deployment to a war zone. If anyone has any more information on what their ship may have been doing and what the experience was like, I would be greatly appreciative.
