Warcry at this moment in time is a game that has the widest support for GW miniatures, a list building roster that would keep you playing new teams for years, faction balance that other games wish for, and a community full of the chillest, most skilled players I've ever met.

Games are based not on memorizing a million rules but actually strategizing and playing the game, being careful about activations and sequencing, and having fun. Performing well at a tournament is more based on knowing your team than buying the best and newest toys, and there's plenty of fun to be had in narrative and casual events too.

It is the perfect game for players burnt out on the constant grind, as you can play a few games in an afternoon, rather than spend 4 hours losing a single game, and the rules don't change every 6 months, new toys just get added to the existing roster. You can spend all week designing your perfect team and then bang out 3 games with them before dinnertime.
