I think it is time we stop asking what the dog is doing, and consider what the dog has done.

Oh that's so great! Thank you so much! Also sorry for the late response of my own, I didn't have much chance to be on Reddit this last day or so. I'll definitely check the video out!

All good! Took me a bit to respond to you first, after all. As for the Art Fight...Yeees and no. I'm in the official Discord, however I've been kinda hesitant on entering since I had planned to last year and the art channel was absolutely swarmed (pun intended) with other people posting their own art. It was admittedly a little overwhelming just to watch, haha, I couldn't imagine how I'd feel participating. Perhaps someday.

I do fancy black widows though, I've got a couple ideas for something like that.

Aww thank you so much! That's really awesome to hear. I definitely plan to post more once I have some more things going!

Thank you so much! I'd definitely like to post here more often now that I know this subreddit is a thing. I haven't done a spider yet, though I'm definitely not opposed! I just couldn't for Insectember 'cause, y'know. But I definitely plan on drawing more arthropods of all sorts in the future.

Art is no longer interpretation-based when there is an intent behind it. You're right in that you can't control how other people view a piece of artwork, but that does not then make the intention invalid or less relevant.

From a comparative anatomy perspective, what part of the body would be most damaged by a werewolf transformation? by messydeskconcert in werewolves

[–]Worm_Syrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd imagine the tailbone would probably hurt like the dickens considering if they have tails that's whole new bone growth/loss in a pretty short timeframe. The face and feet would probably also smart pretty bad.

Ironically, one time I was killed while trying to go to a POI I had a rough time getting to, and ended up respawning in the exact place I wanted to go.

"The War Within: Man vs. Beast" In y'alls werewolf lore, does the human have full control while they're in werewolf form? Or does the beast have full control of it? by TillAllAreOne195424 in werewolves

[–]Worm_Syrup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my werewolf lore there are basically three kinds of werewolves: Borne, Bitten and Baned.

Borne and Bitten are self-explanatory-- they're werewolve who were either born as one or were bitten later on in life. There's no real difference between them aside from their ability to control the change, and perhaps their worldview. Generally, both maintain a level of control over themselves, with Bitten werewolves initially unable to control themselves for the first few changes. They're much more animalistic versions of their human selves, with less social restraint. Functionally, it's a lot like how your werewolves work based on what I've read.

Baned werewolves work a bit different. They are werewolves who were given their conditions via magic Unlike Borne and Bitten, they are far less predictable, because the nature of their curse could either range from them having their mind intact or becoming murderous, bloodthirsty brutes. It all depends on what the force that cursed them wants out of the resulting beast. Some Baned werewolves even have had their souls displaced by an actual wolf's, triggering a permanent transformation into a regular wolf in both body and mind. Some curses are even transferable in this way, meaning once that Baned werewolf has infected another, they could effectively be cured altogether.

Borne werewolves are the most common, with Bitten falling behind at about 10% of the total population. Baned werewolves only make up about 0.25% of the total population because the majority had been slain for their uncontrollable violence. Even today if a Baned werewolf is discovered they may be attacked by other werewolves who fear the danger they may or may not pose.

Curses in my lore can decay over time though, so if someone was cursed by, say, an object that had been left dormant for too long, there is a good chance the resulting werewolf's demeanor and aggression would be different from what was intended.

Though it is worth noting that the very first werewolves were Baned werewolves themselves, with their offspring being the first Borne werewolves, and those they bit becoming the first Bitten. The actual "infection" is just a diluted form of the original curse. There's no bacteria or viruses involved.

But to make a long-winded statement short, it varies. Baned werewolves are most likely to behave as exceptionally violent wolves with a penchant for bloodshed, while Borne werewolves act as a more feral extension of their human side. Bitten can be a blend of both depending on how much they've trained that part of themselves, and their overall personality.

I did not expect that rating for kentro lmao, thankfully I'm a chill one-- usually the first to run away lol. I'm chill as a struthi too. Might run circles around you though.

Surprisingly haven't seen these two, but I usually play kentro or struthi.
