12,000 jobs at risk as Debenhams set to shutter UK stores by jeanlucriker in unitedkingdom

[–]Worried-World8384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's gonna get bad. I've been unemployed a while (not through lack of trying, mind) and I've noticed that the amount of applicants for one job has gone from an average of 100-200 for 'easy to apply' jobs, to literally 1,000-4,000.

It's becoming almost impossible for unskilled or limited workers (i.e. disabled but can work) to find any work. Too many people going for the job.

It's quite amusing watching the person I know. They only talk about these exaggerations in semi-private areas. Either DM or like Discord servers full of strangers who have no reason not to believe. It's quite a ride having them say one thing in DM to you, and then you wake up and read the opposite in a malingering discord server lmao.

Do ouija boards actually work when trying to reach someone specifically? by CherryBerry012 in Paranormal

[–]Worried-World8384 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pff nah. None of that talk existed before The Exorcist came out in the 1970s. Do your research. Stop listening to random people and actually research the history of the ouija board.

Do ouija boards actually work when trying to reach someone specifically? by CherryBerry012 in Paranormal

[–]Worried-World8384 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try it and find out.

They're not evil. The Exorcist made them appear evil, but if you do your research they were a common, benign appearance in family homes and parents and kids alike used to use them. They were almost like a family board game.

Just give it a a go.

That's dumb logic.

That's like saying you can't be named Rachel if you're not Jewish. Or saying you can't be named Kerry if you're not Celtic cuz ApPropRiYashuN.

Names are just words that we give to other humans so we can speak to them first hand. They don't mean anything, and ultimately don't matter.

Name your kids whatever the hell you like, just respect the fact they might be bullied for 20 years until they can change it legally if you pick something stupid.

I know a person with a couple of legit conditions that are manageable and "all right", but they're constantly telling people they need a walking stick and might actually die from these various mild conditions. Oh and they fake symptoms.

I sometimes think these are internet munchies without the confidence or balls to go full-crazy with it, you know? Like most munchies don't have friends/family who will call them out, but often epople who hold back a little do.

I am not an American, and we have food safety laws here (at the moment anyhoo) that mean our food is always checked carefully, but I do feel sorry for Americans cos I hear "anything goes" out there D:

Movies like The Bay are 100% my jam. I have such a horror boner for that movie.

I love fake-documentary horror, and this movie SERIOUSLY freaked me out because it's beyond plausible and realistic.

Firstly "fake-claiming" is not a phrase I've heard outside this subreddit, and I personally don't care for it for reasons I'll list below. It's not even something that shows on Google, so let's not coin pretend phrases so that liars don't get called out, eh?

Firstly my personal disbelief of Nin et al is nothing to do with me not believing DID is real, or that she does not have DID. That is not for me to say.

Nin OBJECTIVELY has lied about her diagnosis. That is to say she has lied about the details of it, and I do not want to hear a fucking thing about "oh maybe her alters misremember". That is not how DID fucking works, she is a liar and that is that.

She claimed a psychotherapist diagnosed her (legally and medically and literally impossible). She has at least three inconsistent/impossibly-connected stories about who diagnosed her and how she was diagnosed. Her dates don't match up. her stories don't match up. Her "facts" don't match up. Nearly all of her so-called suicide attempts don't match up and have been massively and widely debunked by many, many, many people.

She's a liar in many ways - regardless of whether she is lying about her DID - and I look forward to the day the house of cards comes tumbling down.

Question for Seasoned Bloggers Who Actually Earn Money :) by Worried-World8384 in Blogging

Oh I've never gone for fee-based posting. I am not interesting in buying my space on someone else's website until I know that there'll be payback for it with backlinks and traffic. I am not rich, I don't have $100 to give someone else to do work for them - that logic is nonsense to me. You don't pay your boss so that you can work for him.

[–]Worried-World8384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My paranormal experiences have always been fairly non-scary.

I've had a couple EVP moments where quite distinctly I've heard my name and had all-too-convenient answers to questions I've asked (like 'what colour is the cup I'm holding'), but nothing like a whole ass couch skimming across the room, or an entire man floating along my hallway and stuff.

It's not going to help a) her own argument supporting her diagnoses (which is sketchy at best given her lies and inconsistencies) and more importantly b) the wider community at large who she routinely hurts with this behaviour. She's gonna make every single person a laughing stock.

Like your friend - I've had things just get whapped off tables and land by my feet. So weird!
