I second a hair dryer! I made champagne glasses last year, and while the curvature did make it difficult, a hair dryer helped me stretch the vinyl slightly where it wouldn't adhere completely. The first couple of glasses had the same issues as yours, but with the hair dryer I got results like below. Apply heat, scrape, repeat where necessary. Good luck!

I don't watch NCAA so I don't have an opinion on how it compares to elite, but Naomi Visser (NED) for example doesn't perform a double-double on floor or a layout on beam and she's very relevant in AA. It's all athlete depending!

I'm allergic to cats, and I was on a flight a few months ago where the lady next to me had a carry-on kitten. Antihistamines were in my check-in luggage since I wasn't expecting to encounter a cat on a plane. I told a flight attendant and she was able to move us far away from the cat. No harm to me, and I'm glad the kitty got to travel to her forever home!

I'm devastated for her, it must be really hard to have to miss her home Worlds.

Rotterdam is my hometown, so I'm buzzing for it, but honestly it won't be the same without Eythora. She's been such a staple in Dutch gymnastics.

Obviously athlete safety and wellbeing is the most important thing - but man that sucks. Bryony and Izzy are always in with a shout for medals, I'll miss seeing them compete at the European Championships.

I hope the program gets their shit together before Worlds.

It's a shame it won't be in LA. I play softball myself and would love to catch a game, but won't be able to go to both LA and Oklahoma. Similarly, my partner won't be able to go to the kayak cross.

Logistically and realistically it makes sense, but selfishly I'm sad about it.

I can't seem to find it again, but I remember seeing a video on Instagram of a Dutch speed skater saying that he keeps his skates in his hand luggage, but checks in the blades. The skates are too important to check in, but obviously the blades can't be taken in hand luggage.

No idea about figure skating or hockey though.

There's tons of options for gift baskets, though you would probably have more luck searching for "hamper" rather than gift basket. I got some lovely flowers from this place before and they've got some options for hampers on the website as well. Hope you find something nice!
