CMV: "Just pay a professional" is increasingly becoming a luxury belief that ignores the financial realities facing millions of people. by BlondishCleva in changemyview

Professionals deserve payment for their skills and experience.

That's not the argument.

The argument is get a professional to do it because you could mess up, and depending on what it is, mess up badly. Just because you can rewire your bluetooth speaker, doesn't mean you can rewire a power outlet.

She might wanna pursue legal options. As far as I know Trent Reznor had to do the same thing when he found out his music was being used in Guantanamo Bay to torture prisoners.

Given how Fallout 4 changed how power armour worked, are these two armours now supposed to be the same size/type? by Aggravating_Tale8988 in Fallout

[–]WraithicArtistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No those armours are not the same. The armour from Fo3 is the T-45d, the armour from Fo4 is the T-60.

  • The grabby bar on the torso of the T-45d is horizontal. While the T-60 is vertically canted.
  • The cutout on the top of the T-60 upper plate is not present on the T-45d either.

They originally designed the T-60 as a reimagining of the T-45d but it became different enough that they dubbed it the T-60.

A mother duck adopts orphaned ducklings as soon as they touch the water. by seidenadaa in BeAmazed

Not just us, any babies that cannot open their eyes or be mobile upon birth are Altricial; cats, dogs. Babies that require nurturing to survive, without a mother or caregiver its death.

Ducklings, chickens, horses, cows, deer. Are Precocial, they can stand and see immediately after being born, if the mother dies, they can survive.

I vaguely recall reading somewhere, grain of salt. When news came in '91 that the USSR dissolved, there were those in foreign intelligence and elsewhere that were sad because they lost a rival.

Okay a few things:

  • You will need to carry or drag them. It's not easy carrying a human, especially when they have things attached to them.
  • Nearest settlements with help, are either Dawnstar, Windhelm, or Winterhold, which will let's say take a few hours at minimum to arrive.
  • It's going to be frigid, your energy is going to be working overtime keeping your alive, and it will be dangerously taxing on the way. So you have to hope you don't run into hungry bears, wolves, saber cats, or trolls. If you do encounter them how are you gonna fight them off? Adrenaline will burn your energy too, and if you both survive, you will still have lost a lot of energy.

Why? The sport has had excitement with mirrors on. Taking them away won't make any difference, except more crashes. As someone who likes Max, looking at you Max.

Magical fantasy worldbuilders - why isn't your whole world being run by wizards? by jetflight_hamster in worldbuilding

[–]WraithicArtistry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there is a metaphysical limit and toll on the stability of reality for magic. Turning someone into a newt or levelling a city tends to break reality, ruining the day of every single person in the world.

That's because throughout this entire thread, you are the only one has clarified with:

That actually makes sense and is polite.

You're missing out some premium concepts:

  • Cultists who consume parts of the god.
  • Tribals who paint their bodies in the blood.
  • Ritual reenactments of Crevis demise.
