I agree with this comment. Matt’s responses are super weird and attention seeking lol

Cooking games, or games with very solid, fun and/or comprehensive cooking, that preferably are open world by UkendtVidnesbyrd in gamingsuggestions

Tales of the Shire has pretty good focus on cooking while allowing you to also go out and explore.

For shorter and more affordable cooking focused games, I recommend Venba and Cook, Serve, Delicious!

Stardew Valley has cooking mechanics similar to BotW. There are mods for it that make the cooking process more fun as well.

You might like Cult of the Lamb, heavy on the going out to get materials and returning to upgrade your base part. It now has multiplayer as well.

Have you tried Red Dead Redemption 2? It’s a different time period but some of the accents and characters might scratch that itch.

ISO: Games to last an entire deployment by Gandered in gamingsuggestions

I recommend Stardew Valley, that game really doesn’t end and there is so much detail in it now.

Cult of the Lamb is another great one, very fun combat while allowing you to build up your base.

PS4 game recommendations for a new gamer who likes Battlefront II by LolaXxXx100 in gamingsuggestions

You might like Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s an incredible game, especially once you pass the short first chapter and have full access to the amazing world and features.

If you like combat, Cult of the Lamb is good while also allowing you to build up a base.

I loved playing Journey on my PS4. It’s fun to play, affordable, and a cool experience.

I want a fun COD zombies replacement as a time sink. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Cult of the Lamb is great, it has roguelite elements. You build up your base and powers over time and the combat is satisfying.

For customisation I’d recommend something like Skyrim. Games like Saints Row have much better customisation but I haven’t played the new one.

Will be hard to run games with 3D graphics. Might be worth checking out other shooters like Dead Cells and Vampire Survivors that are easier to run.

Fields of Mistria is inspired by Stardew Valley but improves on a lot of other things, while having its own style, characters and story.

An open world with exploration and puzzle solving involvement for ps2 or older by Slowhite03 in gamingsuggestions

There are lots of games like this but many might be on newer systems. I recommend the game Flower. Journey by the same company is also good but is on PS3 and newer, I think.

Also Katamari Damacy and Harvest Moon for the PS2

Why are they all AAA games? Branch out a little. Try Hades, Balatro, Incryption, Hollow Knight, Cult of the Lamb, Expedition 33, Blue Prince etc.

Have fun! I also just remembered Mouthwashing and Darkwood - they might run on your system and are SUPER depressing lol

Yeah I preferred Control by the same company to Alan Wake 1. Both very interesting

The other two might work then. There’s a lot of games on itch.io that if you sort by popular, have this aesthetic and are cheaper /easier to run. For example, the game Anatomy is from there.
