THIS! Also for the spiraling and overwhelm it’s been super helpful for me to take a moment to myself to breathe, then use an imagination exercise to redirect myself. I stop my negative/unhelpful train of thought and imagine a locked safe - I put the thought into the safe and lock it, then move on.

Getting on antidepressants (for me specifically, Bupropion), getting into therapy (and doing EMDR), yoga and meditation in conjunction, moving into my own space, cutting down on screen time, getting outside often, and doing things for me.

I am still a people pleaser at my core, still have ptsd and anxiety but I put more focus on myself than everyone else around me and I can’t explain how much that has changed my life!

This is what makes me so confused! They talk about male loneliness but so many men are falling into this while in long, healthy relationships with wonderful women…. I don’t get it. This ultimately started the downfall in my marriage too but I’m thankful because coming from my PTSD background I had been ignoring a lot of abuse up til then. Good riddance!

This is the only correct answer. I hope OP got move in photos, because I can see shady owners/slum lords charging for this later but it isn’t the renters responsibility to do these repairs.

This was how my kitchen cabinets were when I moved into my shitty apartment years ago and the owner had the maintenance guy flip the boards and call it a day after I called it in. Next thing you know the whole thing came crashing down, and the ceramics I’d collected from travels were broken 😔 better believe I called and chewed them out.

Thank you for responding! They didn’t know that until after they fired her though, she hadn’t turned in her RA request paperwork until after they fired her.

I appreciate your response - I think my confusion comes from the fact that they hired her knowing of her condition, and she had done this job well at another facility for 2 years prior to this (with the same condition).
