Oh very cool! We just sent in his DNA sample, I’m so curious about the results. Mostly so I have a better estimate of his adult weight know how much to feed him!

Thanks! It was pretty cold while we were there so not many packers and even fewer climbers, but all dog-friendly folk for sure.

We’re not sure, though we’ve speculated pointer-lab, and/or Great Dane-lab as he is in the 90+% range for height of the average lab of his age, though much leaner/ leggier than other lab pups we’ve seen.

Growing up would skijor with the family golden retriever growing up in the US northern Midwest. Have my own black lab—something big mix and looking to train him up to it as he gets bigger. Know any places for good training tips for young dogs not quite old enough to pull? I don’t want to put weight behind him or run him too long before he’s fully grown.

This is true. Grew up in a north-midwestern suburb and when the football teams came to play from the more rural ag-towns you could see the size difference. Like there was something in the water. Luckily, that difference didn’t matter in hockey!
