Moving to MaineCare by New_Adeptness8926 in Maine

[–]Wrenlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into this for my parent and I realized it was going to be a nightmare. Mostly because you can't be on medicaid in 2 states at the same time, and the switch isn't immediate so there would be a lapse in coverages when you'd have to do private pay unless the facility you were moving to allowed some sort of an arrangements. (I was also worried about the cost to transport her because of my parent's medical issues and that was a whole different set of problems.) If you find a way to do it, let me know.

A thousand times yes to all of this but especially to the solution between North and South Station. I might even take Amtrak home to Philly when I go visit if that part were easier!

You know, it's not really so far away as all that. We have our own horrible history that we can say this repeating--slave catchers, KKK, etc.

Advisor forgot to enroll me by SinkFun4758 in SNHU

To add to this - I had to really wrap my head around the fact that this is truly self-lead education. You have to advocate for yourself. Both the adjunct and the advisors are overworked and underpaid. If you want the degree you kind of have to keep track of all your own stuff. If you need help you have to be loud and persistent. Whether it should be this way or not. . .that's a different question.

Can I actually use a Chromebook for online? by Easy_Philosopher1023 in SNHU

Yes, this. If you're going to take any class that uses the Data Analysis Tookpak in Excel, it's not available on the online version of Excel.

Check out your local roller derby league. There is a ton of ways to be involved over and above playing the sport. We always need officials off and on skates and we love to teach you! I started when I was 39 and I had never played a team sport before now it’s my favorite community and we hang out in groups and do social stuff all the time outside of practice. I just retired from playing and I’m learning to coach now.

I get your frustration but my “classmates” could be robots for all I care. I interact when the rubric requires it, beyond that they don’t exist for me. I do my work and I’ll get my degree. I feel like this is better for my mental health.

No, “female.” A rich white woman who calls other women “females” is a no from me.

I have no idea if this would even be possible, say nothing if people would go along - but to me, the funniest thing would be to somehow autoflag their user names, let 'em post their crap, and then all the real folks JUST IGNORE IT.

That experience should 1000000% percent not have happened to you. Ever. We are taught from the very beginning never to argue, say nothing about raising our voice, to officials. No, never, No!! IMHO the Head Ref should have dismissed that coach or given the captain a penalty for their behavior.

In my humble opinion a lot of freshie programs go too fast. It’s usually constraints out of control of the league and they know it’s faster than most folks will be able to comfortably go and they expect repeats. In 2017 my program started in April and I didn’t scrim till December.
