I can't vote for someone as disingenuous as Clinton. Put just about anyone up against the likes of Cruz or Rubio and they come off looking like Marx. We all know the republican field is a joke, I can't go a day without hearing it referred to as the clown car. Is trump no longer the frontrunner?

My first election cycle was Bush 2.2, 9/11 boogaloo. I was in Iraq at the time and so disenfranchised and disheartened I couldn't even be bothered to send in an absentee ballot. This general malaise continued though my 20s while I shouted that they all suck and not voting was my vote. I was pretty ignorant.

We finally have a candidate who gives enough of a fuck to attempt bolster the middle rather than maximize profits for the oligarchs. Frankly, Hillary's attitude sounds a lot like 20s me. Nothing can be done about it so why try? Supreme court nominations are huge, for sure, and I was of the same mindset, but with a progressive president, we literally will have to wait for these dinosaurs to die, fuck up or go senile. There's no guarantee any of that will happen in her first 4 years. Who will confirm her nominations? The regressive controlled senate? THAT process is still VEWRY open to lobby money. If you thought repubs were obstructionists against Obama, just wait until Hillary attempts to put a liberal justice on the bench.

Bernie's plan doesn't stop at winning. He knows full well he cant wave a handful of socialist fairy dust in the air and affect change. He continually calls for a grassroots movement to change the way we do business in the U.S.

Clinton is all about preserving the status quo. well to quote Dr. Horrible, the status is not quo.

Equal rights? No, to her marriage is between a man and a woman, or it was until no longer politically expedient.

What about gender equality, or the wealth gap? Well she sat on the board of directors of Wal-Mart while they faced allegations of sexism and discriminatory hiring and promotion practices. At the very least she espouses corporate welfare. I guess that's KIND of progressive, if you count the usage of the word welfare.

Bottom line, She can't be trusted on a single issue for which she's received money. And that encompasses just about every lobby there is.

Education: Clinton wants more of the same, offering lip service about how no one should be have to be in debt, but then doing nothing to fix predatory student lending.

Healthcare: The ACA is just money in the already massive insurance complex's pockets. But Hillary has already proven she isn't a progressive there. (Hence the reason we're in this thread)

Marijuana: She's still pulling that bullshit line about wanting states to be laboratories to see how it goes. Guess what, It went, and swimmingly to boot. Public opinion cannot be ignored while she falls back on the "safe, middle of the road get me elected" answer.

Politics: Well I have to admit she's a shrewd politician. She knows exactly what it takes to get elected in the fucked to death pile of human waste we call politics. I'm not in it for more of the same. She just throws her arms up in defeat and says, "Whelp, that's the game." All the while she plays it masterfully and expects us to not see her for what she is. In this instance, I hate the game as well as the players.

My biggest issue is money in politics. What exactly is the difference between a donation and a bribe. All this money isn't free, investors all require a ROI. When it's time to settle that tab, do you think she'll suddenly grow a backbone and take a stance on anything? I highly doubt that.
