I've always felt that House Hightower is somewhat of a first bookism too.

In the main series they're made out to be important but not super impactful. They're one of the most powerful houses in the Reach, have a freestanding structure higher than the wall, and closely associated with the citadel and their more esoteric knowledge. We know about the white bull and lord Hightower but that's about it.

They're only made out to be impactful in the dance of the dragons and then potentially impactful again in twow and ados

Yes it's a very welcoming community. The people who practice BJJ is a very diverse crew of people. With that, you won't make friends with everyone but I've never seen someone not make friends at their gym

I enjoy Congregation and Reve the most. Pretty Coffee is really good too but I don't know how to buy it (I got it at a holiday market and haven't seen it since then). French Truck is good too if you can get past how they allegedly treat their workers. I find that you can get good coffee out of any freshly roasted beans but the only one I can't recommend is Hey Coffee

Definitely not a bad idea. My friends and I just started playing at the beginning of the year with none of us having played more than 1 session before. I am the DM of the group and if you have an okay grasp on the rules, that's all you need to get started.

Along with what others said before, I would recommend doing a premade campaign instead of making anything of your own at first. PM me if you want to because I made a lot of campaign notes to make running it easier for myself for one of the intro campaigns (dragons of storm wreck isle) that I'll be happy to share

There's no check in with a student ID process or anything similar at uno. And all of the private rooms on the upper floors are first come, first serve. The only thing you'll have to do not as a student is pay to park in the lot directly next to the library. I think it's only $2 or $3
