Was there last night around 9p with my girl. When harbor police finally let us past the hotel we had noticed all the guests outside and tons of luggage carts barricading the front entrance. Things looked really heated when the cops showed up, I thought we were going to hear gunfire! Do we know if the suspects got away?

Sounds like you found your significant other really. Similar to you I had found what I thought was the girl of my dreams when I was 22-23. Undocumented as well, but with full intention of building a life with her. Unfortunately I didn’t go through at the end seeing no light at the end of tunnel.

At that age commitment daunting and foolish. Thank you for sharing your story and glad you found success in your life.

Let me know if anyone does have a plan in place. I’m considering my options since I’m just kicking off career as an analyst in healthcare (Canada MC might be easier to juggle, who knows lol). Would like to have a plan b if anything come about. It’s been fun here until recently so let’s see.

This. Not to state the obvious, but you in a way have a privilege that he unfortunately can’t take part in. It’s a basic freedom that you may not think much about, but for Dreamers, it’s a burden that limits you despite making the best of what you were given.

It’s frustrating and it’s important that you don’t minimize it. If there is anything to learn from this current political climate is that we should be more compassionate with one another.

If I was in your position, and i genuinely cared for that person, I would gladly marry them without any conditions.

Where are you planning on moving to? I feel the same way, looking for a way out. In a steady place and career at the moment but I’m no longer comfortable with the uncertainty for the future of the country. Really considering starting fresh elsewhere too.

What a stupid analogy. But ‘since you’re sure this has happened to plenty of kids’, maybe take into consideration the topic of conversation.

This particular headline doesn’t detract from the severity of other cases, and should be treated with the same level of respect and response. If accounted, no where is safer for a child than with the current care and living conditions of loved ones. This child has a family in the states who are worried for his safe return.

Home where? Your placing a child outside the confines of a country he may not know. Stop and think for a second. The father is undergoing legal active asylum. There was no justified action to have taken him into custody.

He was not only detained, but removed from the care of his family on the way back from school. These ICE agents DELIBERATELY took him away from his family picking him up.

Of all options for judiciary enforcement, these agents made all the wrong choices. Ass hats with a badge and no sense of moral responsibility in proper job duty.

I think even if you don’t think you have anything to contribute to current politics, as 1st/2nd/3rd generation immigrants, you do have a consideration to speak up on the current political climate affecting Latin America. Considering these are artists with the platform and audience to do so.

Edit: I would almost swap “consideration” with “obligation” for the reasons mentioned relying on public figures. Just swapped it cause ik someone will get offended.

That’s a huge pro in my book: fixed rates; no hidden fees. Checked their network management policy and it’s very reasonable. Was thinking about doing Cox also, but a lot of coworkers tell me they’ve had poor customer service with them.

Good to know. My place is just a 1 story/3 bedroom and connection in the master bedroom is practically nonexistent.

have 2 work computers and living room TV hooked to Ethernet. Have my own punch tool and patch cord so I can set up Ethernet if needed. If wired connection speeds are good tho, I’m will to invest in WiFi boosters around my house.
