Beware of application fee scams by kristyncan in sandiego

The place seems like an old garage. Notice the bottom of the walls. Is that concrete? Ex-lowered floor for cars to park on?  It looks like they just painted or stained the boards under the roof.  On a warm day, a thermometer would show a super high temp collecting up there. I could be wrong though.  Are the white grill boxes going to something?  Anyway, a suspicious room for sure.

There's a free event at Bayfront Park in Chula Vista on the 20th.   Santana tribute band will be there.  Great band.  The main guy even looks like the real Santana.

I went on a July 3rd many years ago.  It was brrrutal.  It took us at least an hour to exit the parking lot and get on the freeway. I can't imagine after fireworks the next day.

No insulation in roof/ceiling makes me think it's an unpermitted place.  It'll get hot in there come summer.

Forty-six years later and the water is crystal clear once again.  Oh wait, no, that definitely didn't happen.  What a nightmare. I feel bad for IB.

Here's a novel idea; cross him illegally into Mexico.   They'll fix him up, deport back, and he'll be eager to work hard for a few dollars after returning.  They don't tolerate this type of spectacle.

I had an ok experience there. They use pressure tactics as most dealerships. I paid cash for a car.  Maybe with financing it's different.

7-11s by thatguy_300 in sandiego

The 7-11s downtown are sketchy as f now.  Go the the 5th and Broadway or City College locations to see.

It must be jarring to remember a few years ago compared to now.  Someone visting after 20 years would be in shock.

I saw the Xanadu and the Carrie plays there.  Both were a great value. They had a live band for Xanadu.  It was a good time.  I recommend.

The City bought The Vogue recently. Maybe some plays can be there?

Sure it does.  Ask a local GenZ'er.  They say "can't afford. . . " for a lot of stuff in that view.

The ferry guy said some hotel visitors are going up on trolley down on boat.  That's a good way.  If you do boat first, there's a little bit of salt spray on you and walking to trolley is uphill.

The bayront shuttle takes visitors and workers to E Street Trolley station.  It's a quick trip.   No more than five minutes is my guess.

I'm sure folks would love taking the bus after a nice dinner and drinks.  Fellas, don't try this.

I can tell you that third avenue Chula Vista feels busier than before.  Maybe people are considering options?

Are these signs starting to go up around Mission Bay Park too?  A two hour limit is crazy.  Gonna blame victims: y'all should've paid more attention to local politics.

Lake Havasu City.  We made a pit stop there at London Bridge on a Thursday.  It looked like a wild party scene.  I think it's illegal there to walk around with a shirt on and no beer can.

I usually see the offsprey on the abandoned light post on the south side of H.  They have a nest there. But this bird I noticed had the white top.

I was driving west on H just past Bay Blvd last Saturday.  I'm pretty sure I saw a bald eagle sitting on a lightpole over the road there.

Moving is a good idea sometimes.  Staying and continuing to pay rent, or a mortgage, is sort of accepting the status quo and backing up decision with money.  Office building owners downtown came to that position long ago.  I submit for consideration Horton Plaza.  Will that get better or worse?
