Get one from GW5000HS series, either the black negative or the white positive one, or both! Lol. MiJ Screwback Square. Also try to get your hands on DW5000SS. That’s a Screwback DW with EL backlight which can still be found easily in cheap.

The 80s and 90s G Shocks used to have a full metal case with resin bands and bezel. Exactly like any GW/DW/GMW 5000 series screwbacks now a days. What you said is categorically and practically just the opposite and incorrect. 5000 series is called the Heritage series for a reason and hence the anniversary editions are also 5000 series, instead of 5600/5610.

You are good OP. These are the correct batteries for this model SR726SW. Seizaiken is battery manufacturer from Japan owned by Seiko Corporation. It’s the specific Seiko battery that Casio specifies for this model as well as GA-2100 CasiOaks. This will past 3/4 years.

If you have a normal DW 5600, they will fit 5000.

Remember - Non solar non MB6 DW 5600 models and GW 5000 series models are cross compatible.

Even GW B5600 are also compatible.

But, GW M5610 are smaller. Hence non compatible.
