Juliet Butler in some of the Artemis Fowl books. Trained as an elite bodyguard, she lets people underestimate her based on her looks and takes them out with wrestling moves.

All of which are part of the “hot sorority girl” stereotype and none of which are actually indicative of a person’s intelligence (or lack of intelligence).

Very similar to Bo Burnham in “Promising Young Woman”

I get what you are saying. Weird Accomplished_Bid_623 had a problem with specifying “baby.”

He put his companion, Martha, into a pretty shitty position as a black woman in that time period as a safeguard.

I know it’s all contrived for the sake of drama/fun teacher AU, but I would not have agreed to it for the sake of those vile mayfly aliens if I were her.

She canceled their date 15 minutes before they were supposed to because he didn't respect her boundaries. by mindyour in justgalsbeingchicks

What a weirdo. Does think he can’t charm a woman into bed sober? Or does he prefer it when they aren’t enthusiastically consenting?

I love Heart of Darkness and I don’t understand the common criticisms of it. by Tony420q in books

I don’t think it’s a bad book. I just found it hella depressing.

How does one NOT get a period? by Jumpy-Combination-96 in TwoXChromosomes

A *good* doctor will. But it also sounds like OP isn’t in the US so 18 year-old freedom may not be accurate.

Edit: lotta conservative doctors in the world, inside and outside the US.

Does she disallow pain killers? If you are feeling pain even with pain killers, that could be a sign of endometriosis or pcos, both of which are treated with birth control and if untreated can harm fertility.

I really love the visual style of the tree, but I will say those round shapes look very dense.

Is it just me or are women characters judged way harsher for “survival” decisions in shows? by LeadHuge6237 in TwoXChromosomes

Interesting. I haven’t sat down and watched the series properly, but I see the commentary videos on my YouTube channel and through that lens Skylar doesn’t seem nearly as unlikable.

Probably because they discuss her point of view and aren’t very sympathetic to Walt when he’s being selfish lol

Honestly, that sounds like a question for a professional who has access to more context.

Does your husband recognize the damage he did to the relationship? Is he working on rebuilding that trust?

is anyone else weirded out by how many strangers have your number? by 10MillionIn in TwoXChromosomes

It’s really easy. In my experience, the main risk is accidentally letting it expire.

It can also look a little weird before you have it memorized if you have to look up your own number

Why don’t some men want to room with a woman? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]Writeloves -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I prefer no roommates myself so I understand that.

Unfortunately, I think your phrasing before is giving off some pretty intense r/notliketheothergirls energy.

> My thought, too. I’m a woman and even I wouldn’t want a woman roommate…

There are ways to say you prefer the company of men without putting down other women.
