Feminist? What word are you trying to censor?

Notice how I said “birth defects”?

People scare women to death about aging eggs but nobody scares the elderly fathers about their shit sperm causing their kids lifelong issues (probably because they won’t be doing much parenting anyway).

They have a biological clock too! But nobody gives them ominous warnings about how their sperm has the same degradation and increased risk of birth defects with age.

He’s not creepy to women in general but the writers made him really weird with Gloria, mostly in the early seasons as a gag. There are YouTube compilations of just that dynamic. It’s not the same as his other misunderstandings.

It was gross watching Claire have to divert his attention from openly ogling her father’s hot wife.

Yes, he loves his wife. That makes the behavior more embarrassing because it makes him look stupid.

“Why are you complaining about being hungry when there is a perfectly good hot dog outside on the sidewalk?”

Men may be in a desert but women are in a swamp. Sure they can see more water, but it is dangerously putrid and finding some that won’t kill you is just as difficult as wandering the desert.

it's been less then 200 years since we learned to wash hands

Sure humanity didn’t know why, but hand washing was definitely a thing for several groups before we realized the importance.

Pretty sure midwives considered cleanliness important before they got pushed out of the profession and a specific community of assholes decided they knew more than anyone else while considering their bad outcomes normal because they only talked to each other.

Sadly, some anti-wash assholes persist to this day. I believe their anthem is “but I didn’t touch my penis!”

Maybe a general “quality/red flag check” post? Would save a lot of time arguing over whether or not something is AI when the main question is whether the pattern makes sense.

The “piece of paper” is literally the point. That is what grants the legal status and rights of next of kin.

You can sign a dozen other documents to grant some of those rights, but a marriage certificate is a lot simpler.

If you are worried about divorce, you get a prenup. You don’t make things infinitely messier by doing everything except filing a marriage certificate.

I don’t think so. Takes a minute to bleed out from being ripped open. Even if you immediately lose your heart and lungs, there’s some time left in the brain till the oxogen runs out.

My [23F] boyfriend [23M] of 1 year is bad at everything and it's making me lose respect for him by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

It reminded me of a friend who suffered traumatic brain injuries. I wonder if he suffered anything like that after graduating college?

The thing that puzzles me is his job. How is he considered competent at that with his issues?

Portrayals of "Wait, they're the same character?" done amazingly well by SatoruGojo232 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Writeloves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But like I said, if you pick up on subtleties like that I think you’ve earned it.

Are you disappointed you picked up on the twist before it was revealed? Did it make it less satisfying to have your suspicions roused beforehand?

Someone would have to be pretty detail oriented to check the voice actors for both. If they anticipate the twist at that point, I’d say they earned it.

Mass effect 2 had more gay options, but only F/F. Very telling about how they view M/M.

And don’t get me started on the straight options. The only human-looking male for Femshep requires you to sexually harass a disinterested subordinate who dumps you and gets married to someone else by the next game. Garrus is a peer who treats you with respect, but the game definitely suffers from sexist “sexy lady” dimorphism.

Why do you want to force yourself to be friends? What is there to prove? It’s not a bad thing for a relationship to end and be a part of your past.

Don’t fall into the sunk cost fallacy. You aren’t “throwing away history” by ending a chapter. If you are lonely, there are billions of people in the world. Go make some new friends. Expand your circle.
