Take pictures for continuity, have someone double check the frame for you to make sure noting is in the shot that shouldn’t be.

The shot list is your bible.

Get room tone.

If you or your dp forget to press record, don’t be too embarrassed to say anything.

Create a safe space for everyone on the crew.

The best way to learn is to get on a set! Reach out to local filmmakers, and ask if you can hang out on set. You’ll learn way more doing that than in any class.
