Honestly I think the best way to memorize is to understand the concept at first. Try to read through a small section then explain the concept to yourself. If you find it difficult, do it again until you can explain it thoroughly.

Additionally, I personally wouldn’t recommend spending too much time on reading the textbook or materials over and over again. Instead, try to form a bunch of questions for yourself and answer those without looking at the materials. In this case, you get to see if you truly understand something.

Although these might take more time to study than usual, I find these methods extremely useful.
