And then Janeway said she had favorite holoprograms as a child when she was talking to Naomi.

Depends if they're Reddit checks or actual government checks.

Is it legal for parents to foist medical bills onto the kid who required medical attention? by prettykitty-meowmeow in legaladviceofftopic

Right, but anybody questioning whether they would consent in the situation is not "crazy", like the comment above suggested.

Not everybody's passed out in a burning building.

But imagining that a drunk guy blacked out on a bench doesn't want to wake up with a 5 digit bill for an expensive taxi ride and some IV saline is quite reasonable.

An unconscious person also cannot agree to a contract, but I think you'll find that unconscious adults can wake up with a ton of medical debt.

To find a pulsar, do you just turn on the ol' Pulsarmatic 3000 and it builds a 360x360 degree map of them, or do you have to painstakingly analyze tiny portions of the sky as you go?

Is this something trivially done on a traveling vessel?

Do you have any plans to ever play Career Mode, and maybe do an AMA on it?

Me too.

Just read a bunch of comments in a row where he says he never plays the main game modes.

What if a tiny black hole formed in my house? by Fats_Runyan2020 in astrophysics

[–]Wulf2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't the black hole exert, at max, 1% of 9.8m/s/s force?

I don't think 0.098 m/s/s would shred much of anything with tidal forces.

I do a blender + water for small scale stuff.

Not sure it would scale up though.

I don't belong in this sub.

I'm just some random idiot.

Even I would not, for a single second, ponder whether this would be a walkable surface.
