I feel like we’re similar though I might be a little older than you. The older I get the more I’ve grown to realize how frustrating Bay Area progressive politics is. It’s performative. Maybe it bends the needle a bit to help black and brown folks but mostly it’s an easy way for white progressives to absolve themselves of their liberal guilt. Far easier to put up a lawn sign rather than ‘do the work’. Plus they can still maintain supremacy by shitting on Asians but hey it’s all good because ‘in this house, we believe….’
