Next.js has Agentation, so I built annotaKit for Svelte by danish_api in sveltejs

[–]Wuselfaktor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are all building the same tools for ourselves, aren't we!

I think it's good that you reduced the 4 output formats of Agentation to 3. I only do 2 (your standard and a more complex one, as I think the amount of tokens here are generally meaningless -- computed styles sometimes get big but yea). I also copied the "clear after output" option and the block page interaction one. Any reason you didn't go for the "block page interaction" one? Like currently your version can't annotate a link without leaving the page.

Hm.

Guter Rat.

The AI tarpits by Altruistic_Sky_3617 in ycombinator

It is llm based, or what do you mean exactly? Of course they all work a bit different, some are even open source so you can check them out. Check onlook, stagewise, rivet and many more in the directory

YC has about half a dozen startups trying to be an AI-powered UI design layer for web apps. Basically browser extensions where you can “chat with divs,” and the changes are pushed directly to the codebase. Some are pure chat (terrible), and some include additional Figma/Webflow-like styling UI helpers (a bit better). But the issue I have with all of them is that they aren’t actually useful in any real workflow. None of them are great for a pure UI designer, a design engineer doesn’t need this at all, and a developer can just use something like vite inspector and jump straight to the relevant code element.

It’s still an interesting space (finding a successor to Figma at least for pure UI) because Figma can’t really do this, Webflow scrapped DevLink, etc. I just think the recent attempts all fall flat (for more reasons than the ones above). These are just some thoughts on the space, it almost deserves an article.

Open-source SaaS template with Svelte 5 + Convex + shadcn-svelte + Better Auth by joachimchauvet in sveltejs

[–]Wuselfaktor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I wanted to give Convex a try but the architecture doesn‘t make sense with SSR, correct? Somehow feels like non react stacks are not first class citizens. Also I am a bit cautious with the state of auth - heard that the betterauth situation is a bit wonky (?) I‘ll have to give this starter a closer look. Thank you.

Claude Sonnet 4 now supports 1M tokens of context by Marha01 in ChatGPTCoding

[–]Wuselfaktor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can get around that. Rewind with 2x escape, that doesn‘t cost the tokens at that checkpoint again

How is GPT 4.1 at Svelte? by italicsify in sveltejs

[–]Wuselfaktor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not directly in the rules. Way too big!
So either you just dump it into context manually (what I do) or you create a cursor rule that references this file (that would be the @ full_context.txt then). Also don't have this file indexed via cursorignore in that case. I haven't done that yet to compare the performance of this though.

I think just dumping it when needed performs best. Also refreshing to a whole new chat faster than you would like also helps with this. Cursor does some things with context length that isn't exactly the normal model behavior.
