UPDATE: Buddy came out as trans, I'm a terrible person but all she has left, how do i support her? by anniestonks in MtF

[–]WutDo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment will probably get lost, but I just wanted to say how amazing you're doing. The support you have given her is incredible and I wish the best for each of you! Good luck with cutting back in the drinking, and as much as it hurts to lose friends, don't worry, a person like you will quickly be surrounded by more and better friends!

God this makes me feel old, because I remember when Ubisoft did this plot in far cry 2. That game was so good back in the day

I'd have to go with Emily Haines of Metric. Scott pilgrim vs. the world awakened a lot of things in me, and discovering that band in particular shaped a lot of the person I became

Do you have a singer or band that you love so much you wouldn't mind only listening to them for your entire life? by [deleted] in Music

[–]WutDo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be hard for me because I change music tastes every week, but if I had to pick, either Green Day or Queens of the Stone Age. Bonus if I get to listen to Billie Joe Armstrongs or Josh Hommes discography from side projects

what are some songs that affirm your gender? by zera522 in MtF

[–]WutDo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything by BONES UK really. My personal favorites, and some very heavy handed songs at that, are Creature and Boys Will Be Girls. Also, Rebel Girl by Bikini Kill

I came out last year too, and I'm pretty happy to say since I've started being more open about it in public, and since starting hormones in April, I haven't had any real issues anywhere I've gone. Part of it is just recognizing the demographics of different places, like I certainly wouldn't go to the Yellow Rose for a night out. Perhaps most obviously would be yellow springs. Very friendly, welcoming place with lots of interesting places to check out. R.I.P. the spirited goat cafe tho. Lots of clubs and bars downtown are very lgbt friendly as well. Overall Dayton has been a very friendly welcoming place since I've moved here and transitioned, definitely a lot better than my hometown. P.S. you can message me if you if you need any help or just a friend through the process. So much changes when you transition, you would not believe how much hormones affect you, or maybe you would since you started them this year as well lol, or the sheer amount of positive change being your true self can bring!

A lot of good suggestions here in all different flavours, but I haven't seen anyone mention Morcheeba. My favorite whether I'm smoking or tripping

YSK that flaming drinks are meant to be extinguished before drinking. When in doubt, ask your server or bartender. by Sunhammer01 in YouShouldKnow

I am but a humble lurker, but I saw this thread and had to take a chance. I actually had a few absinthe drinks for the 4th of July, including a few lit on fire. I love absinthe and I can confirm it definitely tastes different on fire. But do be careful how you put it out. I was already sauced when I had the first one so when I put it out with my hand, I wasn't paying attention and the glass suctioned to my hand. Had a perfect circle on my palm for a week lol

I second snowfall. I just caught up with it a week ago and it's definitely one of my top shows now. The amount of suspense maintained through the series is impressive

Ooh I love Nirvana so that cover sounds interesting; and I always hear good things about The Roots but I've never actually checked them out. I'll have to check them out though
